After a couple hours of waiting for the doctor to let us know if we could see Theo, Xavier forced me to his house to go and shower which I couldn’t do much for he picked me up off my feet, child locked me in the back of the car and carried me up to his place.
I stand in the shower still shocked, Theo was shot and hurt and I couldn’t even do much. I was just in the way and he protected me. f**k. I sigh closing my eyes and letting the water beat my face and neck soothing the stress that occurred within the last 5 hours.
I get out the shower wrapping myself with a towel as Xavier showers next. I hit on his bed not moving to put on clothes even after he exits the bathroom after his shower and dresses.
“Tell me what’s on your mind.” He Stands me up grabbing some underwear and putting them on me. “Don’t Tell me that’s the first time you seen blood.”
“It’s not, just Theos.” I look into his eyes frightened. “I know it sounds stupid but when you surround yourself with people like you, my brother, Theo, Theos dad, you don’t think they bleed like the rest of us.”
“Theo is strong.” He says giving me a shirt and I slip it on and he pass me jeans. After one day of staying at Xaviers he bought me clothes to stay at his place so I wouldn’t have to go back and forth. “He should be up by now okay?”
“Okay.” I take his hand as he hands me one of his hoodies and we head down the stairs towards his car. We drive in silence as he rest his hand on top of mine giving me a squeeze when I need it most.
I was thankful that once we got there he could’ve been seen because if not I probably would’ve caused a scene in the hospital.
“Theo.” I exclaim hugging him as he wince from me rubbing against his bandages.
“I’m sorry little one.” He brushes my hair out of his face kissing my cheek. “f**k I'm sorry you saw that.”
“Theo, why the f**k are you apologizing.” I slap his arm as he smiles.
“You’re in danger everyday of your life being around us, especially us.” Xavier explains sitting on the other side of Theo.
“Everything that I ever expose you to, I’ll apologize for it.” Theo explains grimacing. “Sorry about Your bear, I’ll get you a new one.”
“It’s fine, I’m just glad your okay.” I smile at him sighing. I hand him his clean tiger as he smilies softly at me. “I’ll let Hazel and Jordan know your here okay?”
“Okay, think you can give me a cigarette?” He ask as I frown at him. “What? This is considered a stressful situation.”
“You can’t smoke in the hospital. You have to wait till you leave.” I explain as he returns my frown with his own glancing at Xavier.
“You got a cigarette?”
“Yeah.” Xavier passes his one as I gasp glaring at him. “What? He said he’s stressed.”
“You two are Unbelievable.” I mumble yawning.
“Get her to bed.” Theo tells Xavier as I shake my head.
“No. I don’t want to.” I glare at him as Xavier stands up coming on my side.
“You Heard him puppy.” He pulls me up as I pout at Theo.
“You going to be okay alone?” I ask as he smiles lighting his cigarette.
“Yes. I should be getting out later in the day so relax and go to sleep.” He pats my head as Xavier and I leave and get into his car.
“Ready to sleep Jade?” Xavier ask as I hum an ‘Mhmm’ closing my eyes. These boys are going to kill me.

“f**k I’m sorry.” Jordan wraps his arms around me as I walk into the house. “I didn’t text you or anything but I was.... I was.”
“Stop.” I smile kissing his cheek as he pulls me deeper into him.
“Don’t Tell me to stop, I’m your older brother. I’m suppose to protect you and you almost got a bullet in your f*****g skull.”
“But I didn’t.” I whisper as he just shakes his head keeping me in his arms.
“Are you okay Baby?” My mom walks in on our hug feast hugging us both. “I heard what happen at the carnival but I knew you were safe with Theo.”
“Yes we are safe mom.” I smile taking in her scent. God it felt like I haven’t been in her presence in a while.
“And you are in trouble.” She breaks us apart pouting at me. “You have a boyfriend and didn’t tell me? Why did I find out from Teresa?”
“Sorry.” I wince totally forgetting. “I told her in the moment, but I would love for you to meet him.”
“You bet I would.” She taps my cheeks smiling. “Now both of you go enjoy your day, in your rooms. You aren’t leaving this house.”
“What?” Jordan glares at her as she gives him her ‘Don’t Test me’ look. We head up to our rooms as I sink into my bed sighing. Oh how I’ve missed my own room. Riddled of everyone and the outside world. “Hey Wanna Yelp me with homework?”
“Yeah.” I sit up as my brother enters my room sitting at my desk as I walk over to him. “What subject?”
“Math. I don’t get it.” He looks up at me as I smile.
“Don’t worry, we have all day.”
My brother and I worked on his homework for the remainder of the day until our mother called us to dinner. It was nice that even though my father works all the time he could try and make it for dinner every once in a while.
“Damn Jordan, if I asked for a mirror to take me back 20 years I would be damned.” He smiles at my brother making him laugh. “I’m glad your back home.”
“It’s nice to be back. I hate bunking with other dude.” He shudders shaking his head.
“You lived.” My father smiles at us. “Sooner or later you guys will be on your own, starting a family.”
“Gross.” My brother and I say in sync making our parents laugh. The idea of kids were dead when I would be over at Hazels house. Her siblings are true narcs and you can’t change my mind about it.
“We thought the same thing.” My mom laughs smiling lovingly at my father. “But once we were pregnant with Jordan it was all uphill from there.”
“Cute, for you two.” Jordan rolls his eyes. “But I think I’ll leave it to Jade to have kids, I rather have nieces and nephews running around.”
“This plan only Benefits you.” I from as he smiles.
“Exactly.”
After we finish eating we all retract back to our room where I give Jordan all his homework back.
“Thanks for the help, I’m going out so I should be back in the morning.” He tells me hugging me and i hug him back as I nod hoping he stays safe.
