Ten years ago, the world changed forever when mysterious dungeons began appearing across the globe. From these otherworldly portals emerged monsters of unimaginable horror—and with them, the awakening of supernatural powers in certain humans. These "awakeners" became humanity's defenders, celebrities, and in some cases, its new rulers.Lee Jin-ha had dreamed of becoming a powerful awakener, imagining himself as an S-rank warrior cutting down monsters with legendary weapons or an A-rank mage commanding devastating elemental forces. Reality, however, had different plans. When Jin-ha finally awakened after years of desperate hoping, he received the underwhelming classification of D-rank scout with minimal combat abilities. His skills—Observe, Communication, Detection, and Stealth—made him useful enough to be employed by government agencies, but never respected or celebrated. As the years passed, humanity's short-sightedness became evident. Governments restricted dungeon clearing to maximize profit from monster cores and mana stones. The number of active awakeners dwindled while dungeons multiplied. The delicate balance tipped, and then it broke catastrophically. Now, Jin-ha lies dying on a blood-soaked battlefield as the apocalypse unfolds around him. Dungeons worldwide have simultaneously shattered, unleashing endless waves of high-level monsters. Even S-rank awakeners are falling one by one. Cities burn. Civilization crumbles.Behind this coordinated attack stands one man: the mysterious Void Prince, Lim Haejin, a faceless figure who commands an army of dungeon creatures through an ancient artifact. As top rankers battle desperately against the Void Prince, Jin-ha witnesses something unexpected—the villain's mask is knocked away, revealing a face Jin-ha recognizes."Isn't that... DongBaek High's Koi-face?!" Jin-ha gasps in disbelief.Memories flood back—of a quiet, awkward boy with slightly protruding fish-like features who was relentlessly bullied throughout high school. The boy who attempted suicide and disappeared from everyone's lives. The boy everyone forgot.A translucent blue window suddenly appears before Jin-ha's eyes:[Congratulations, you have peeped a secret of the apocalypse. As a reward, the universe will grant you a wish.]With death approaching and the world ending around him, Jin-ha realizes that wishing for his wounds to heal would be pointless—he would still be the same useless D-rank scout, powerless to stop the apocalypse. Instead, he makes a far more ambitious request:"I wish to go back to 10 years ago, to give humanity a chance to redo and to stop the Void Prince early."The system responds immediately:[Success. You will now be taken back to 10 years ago.]Jin-ha awakens with a gasp, finding himself sitting in his high school classroom. The date is exactly ten years before the apocalypse. His mind retains all the memories and experiences from his previous life, and remarkably, his status window shows that he has kept his awakened abilities—meager though they may be.A glowing red counter appears in the corner of his vision: [240 hours to dungeon emergence].Jin-ha has just ten days before the first dungeon appears and changes the course of human history forever. Ten days to prepare, to warn others, and most importantly, to find and connect with Lim Haejin—the bullied teenager who will one day become the Void Prince. With his D-rank scout abilities, foreknowledge of dungeon locations and monster weaknesses, and a complex bond forming with the potential destroyer of the world, Lee Jin-ha begins his race against time to rewrite the future. Can a D-rank nobody prevent the apocalypse? Can kindness change the destiny of someone fated to become a villain? As dungeons begin appearing worldwide and more people awaken to their powers, Jin-ha will discover whether the future is truly set in stone—or if even the smallest actions can alter the course of history.

Prologue :The End and the Beginning
He was dying. He knew it deep down—the kind of bone-deep certainty that seeped into his flesh, heavy and final. Blood pulsed out from the wound in his abdomen, warm and sticky, and every breath felt like a knife chiseling out chunks of his lungs. The world around him screamed, roared, howled—cacophony that should have terrified him, yet all he felt was a strange sense of peace. Was this what people saw in their final moments? No, he decided. He didn't have time for peace. Monsters. Dozens, hundreds, maybe even thousands, raged across the landscape, their massive claws sweeping aside buildings, cars, and men with equal indifference. Lee Jin Ha choked as the stench of blood, ozone, and burning plastic flooded his senses. All around him, bodies lay scattered in grotesque tableaux—young, old, men, women, awakened, and non-awakened alike. Fate was an equalizer today. He coughed, dark spots drifting across his vision. Above him, the sky was aflame—a burning tapestry of cracks, as if reality itself had shattered. When the “Cataclysm” began, he’d been just a tired, overworked salesman, scraping by on commission and hopeless dreams. When the system appeared, bestowing skills and Awakenings, he hoped that, just maybe, fate was giving him another chance. His hand trembled. He could barely grip his own thigh to stanch the blood. He didn’t want to die here, anonymous and forgettable, a name on a casualty list, even if he’d only scraped by as an E-rank. His main skills—Observation, Communication—useless in a battlefield like this, where blows rained faster than words and monsters' skin was impervious to everything but the highest ranks. Yet still, some people fought. Even as the world crumbled, a group of Awakened—S-rankers, A-rankers—warriors whose names were legend—refused to yield. Their skills razed the earth, freezing, burning, distorting space itself as they hurled themselves toward the source of this nightmare. Lim Jong Seok. “The Void Prince.” Now merely the orchestrator of the end of all things. The man floated above the battlefield, his silhouette unseen save for the writhing darkness that flowed from him like a polluted tide. Once, he was their hope—a prodigy who shattered records, who healed more than he harmed. Something had changed. What, nobody knew, and perhaps nobody would know, now. The S-rankers still fought. Jin Ha lifted his head and watched, reverence blooming in his fading vision. They hurled themselves into Lim Jong Seok’s darkness, their most powerful attacks distorted, nullified, erased. Some endured for precious seconds before collapsing in screaming silence. Others fell without so much as a sound. He could see the resolve in their faces. Even at the end, they fought, refusing to yield. “I wish... I was strong enough,” Jin Ha gasped, staring at the shattered moon overhead, its bright fragments glinting like broken hope. If only... If only his skills were the kind that could've made a difference. All he’d done was try—joined the fray for a chance at experience, even one decent kill, thinking the higher-ups would help clean the mess. He’d been wrong. Hands trembling, he closed his eyes. Maybe he’d live on, not as a hero, but as a name in the system logs. “Fallen: Lee Jin Ha. E-rank Scout.” He’d left nothing behind, achieved nothing. Maybe that was punishment enough. As consciousness faded, one persistent sting gnawed at his thoughts—the regret of being too weak, too late, too powerless. Then, a cold light flared behind his eyelids. A notification—bright, gold-edged, intrusive as ever—floated before him, clearer than anything else in the world. **[Congratulations! You have successfully viewed the secret of the apocalypse.]** **[Resetting…]** His mind went blank. Darkness fell.
