It was not weird that Barrett sent for her to meet him in his study, and it was not one place she particularly liked to be in either, but she feared she may have gotten into some kind of trouble. Anytime he asked for her to come to the study, Gabriella got very scared because she knew that the room could retain sound, and if Barrett wanted to hurt her, it seemed like the perfect place that he would do so. It was now a known fact to her that she may eventually die in the hands of this man, especially with how he had smashed her head against the wall a few days ago. The scar had almost healed but she had to live with that trauma for the rest of her life. Now, she had a funny feeling as to why he would invite her to his study, and again, she prayed that he wouldn’t harm her.
