Sapphire's POV
The next few days I felt refreshed. I thought May be it was I really put down something I really cared. These days, I went to find Blade whenever I want.
"Blade are you tired?"
"Blade do you want to run?"
"Blade how about going with me to have lunch?"
Even "Blade it's so yummy, you can try" then I stuff a grape into his mouth before he could react. Well, such as these.
Every time his answer was only one word, "No.", or sometimes several words, "Get out of my office."
And my only reaction was to shrug and got out when his brows were frowning like a piece of toilet paper. Ah, I giggled when his frowned face occurred in my mind.
Since he didn't reject me, then he must have his problems. Thinking about my past life, my stepmother and sister treated me so badly. How could I be knocked down by him so easily? Thinking of my family, it reminded me of my father. I hadn't had his news since the day Blade saved me. I was so worried about him. May be it was a chance to go and ask Blade.
Thinking of this, I went out and was ready to go to his office. Again.
When I opened the familiar wooden door the first thing I saw was still his frowned face. He was putting his hands to his forehead and sighed,
"What is it this time?"
"Tee hee, nothing important. I just want to ask you something." I closed the door before I moved a chair sitting in front of him.
"What." He said still with a cold expression.
"Do you know some news about my pack? At the day you saved me, my pack was attacked by rogues. I just wanna know how my pack and my father are."
Taking a deep breath, his blue eyes embraced a little concern, "The Black Moon Pack was destroyed by rogues. The left werewolves became members of the rogue pack, and your father…" He paused a while, "We still have no news about him."
I felt my heart leap and bad thoughts filled my mind.
Blade seemed to see through my worry and he said in a soft tone,
"It's okay. Alphas can get news from the wolf council when each Alpha is dead or is killed. I haven't received any news now, so he must be alive. I'll arrange more warriors to search for him. I promise we'll find him." He gave me firm eyes that could let me rest assured.
"Thank you, Blade."
The moment between us seemed a little awkward because we had never talked in this gentle way…
Blade coughed and looked up at me again.
"So anything else?"
"No, well I'll leav-" His phone rang before I finished my words.
Blade looked at me and picked up the call, "Hi mom."
His mother… Curiosity pushed me to hear with my wolf ear.
"Hello son. How are you?" His mother asked.
"Good."
I rolled my eyes, it must kill him if he said more words.
"And your mate? Is her name Sapphire?"
I froze a moment when I heard my name.
Blade looked up at me and opened his mouth,
"Good."
Still the word. Indifference.
"Okay, I have been thinking we didn't get to know each other after you find her, so your dad and I will go find you this weekend. It's the first time we'll be seeing my daughter-in-law. I can't wait!"
"Mom there are many pack affairs that need to be handled this week, and Sapphire, she… doesn't have time too." He said as he glanced at me.
What? The only thing I have is time now!
"Why? Is she still not recovered?"
"Yeah she-"
"Mrs. Hill, thank you for your concern. I feel good and I also have time this weekend." I cut him off ignoring his shocked expression. His face seemed to tell me 'What the hell are you doing?'
"Is Sapphire? Oh sweetheart, I can't wait to see you. Okay, we'll come to you two on Saturday, 10 am."
"Mom I…" His voice stopped when I heard the beep sound from the phone. I smirked, great, his mom hang up.
Blade put down his phone and stared at me with his blue eyes. I had guessed what he was going to say.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"What the hell are you doing" I followed his tone once he opened his mouth.
He was still shooting eye-dagger to me as I made a face to him.
I shrugged, "Nothing, I just tell her the truth. I do have time, don't I?"
I giggled as I looked at his angry face that wanted to explode.
"Alright, I'll leave first if there is no other things. Work on, then you're free on weekend." I winked at him before I turned to leave. Well the best thing to do now was quit before the big bad alpha lost his temper.
Blade's POV
Shit! s**t! s**t!
What's wrong with this woman!
What did she think she was doing?
Cut me off? Make face?
She totally changed to a different person since that day.
How did it come to this?
I underestimated her strength. Strangely though, I was slightly aroused by her change. That's pretty sexy.
I shake my head. Stop it, Blade. I have to try harder for her to hate me.
'Blade, we need her, admit it.' My wolf Zoi's voice sounded in my mind.
'Shut up. It's all because of you that I must stay away our mate.'
Zoi growled in guilty lowering his head.
'I…I know it's my fault. I feel really sorry about the asshole things I did before. I'm also not blame your father found the witch to cast me the sleep spell. I deserve. Now I am awakened and I promise I won't be out of control. Blade, believe me. I'm feeling good when our mate is by our side.'
'Zoi, I really can't run a risk to get our mate hurt anymore. Watch yourself and depends on your performance.' I sighed.
'Alright, we'll get our mate back together!'
I smiled as if a glimpse of sunshine shined through my darkest part.
So how could I deal with my mom and dad on weekends? They'll be mad if they knew what I have done to Sapphire. I must find a way.
