I must have dozed off while Stella rested. I was awoken to Luca gently shaking my shoulder.
"Your parents are wanting to get ultrasounds of the baby." I looked at him worriedly. Seeing them on ultrasound would make the pregnancy more real. Was I going to be able to be a good mother? Was I ready for all this? A short time later I was staring at the small screen seeing three small little pups snuggled tightly in my abdomen.
"Yes, I'd say about 10 weeks." I sucked in a nervous breath. My mother cooed over them. Luca and my father smiled proudly.
"I'd say hear in a few weeks we should be able to tell gender." I smiled at the doctor and thanked him. My mother hugged me tightly.
"I promise I will be right here. Having a baby is the greatest gift. You will be great." I knew she was right.
