Alpha Talk

1288 Words
The next day at school all anyone could talk about was how hot the Alpha King was. I hadn’t paid attention to his looks, nor had I seen him around the pack house. My thoughts were consumed with the nice person who had left the gift on my pillow. It was a stunning necklace that would go perfectly with my mother’s dress. I wanted to thank the person who had left it, but no name was left with the gift just a thank you note. I almost believed it was a cruel joke being played on me, but just in case I hid the necklace away in my room to wear to the party. I made my way to the homeroom listening to the murmurs about the Alpha King. All this talk was starting to make me nauseous I made my way to my seat. Roxanne turned to look at me. “You know people are saying the Alpha King was appalled with the way his room was. He said it stunk in his room. May need to shower next time you make up his room.” She turned back to her friends laughing. I could tell this was going to be another long day. I had set up the rest of the rooms in preparation for the rest of the packs arriving today. Robert tapped on the classroom door and requested to speak to me. I stood and made my way out of the class with him. “Sorry for the intrusion miss, but it was requested that you have lunch with me again today.” “Yes sir. I will be there. “You know you don’t have to call me sir. You can call me Robert.” “Yes, Robert. I will be there.” I smiled up at him. The bell rang overhead. “Well. I have to get to science class now.” I turned and walked away. Walking into the science lab Roxanne was there talking with Brandon. “So? Sleeping with the beta now? Two days in a row he’s wanted to talk to you. What else would he be doing talking to a low life like you?” Roxanne said as I went to sit down. Brandon didn’t look happy. He made it a point to sit next to me. “Are you seeing that guy?” Brandon asked. I looked at him shocked that he would even care. “No, he’s the royal beta. I’m a lowly omega. Why would he even be interested in me.” “You better keep it that way,” Brandon said with a threatening tone. I didn’t get where this behavior was coming from. I rushed through the rest of the day just ready to get it over with. Thankfully I didn’t have to have lunch in the lunchroom where I’m sure Roxanne and her friends would have found some way to humiliate me. Exiting the school, I rushed to the edge of the woods the way I always did to get back to the packhouse, but someone called my name stopping me from my escape Unknown persons point of view: I watched as the blonde-haired blue-eyed woman turned to the voice that had called her name. The wanna-be alpha came up beside her grabbing her arm roughly and pulling her close. With my advanced hearing, I was able to make out what he was saying. “What is this I hear of you being seen with the Royal Beta. I thought I told you to make sure he stays uninterested in you. Now your practically dry humping him in the hallway!” “No! I swear nothing like that ever happened. I was told to have lunch with him. I can’t exactly disobey the Royal Beta now could I.” “Stay away from him Stormy, or else. Now get back to the packhouse. There is work to be done. Make sure the Alpha King’s room is fully stocked again.” I wanted to break his neck for even touching her the way he did. I don’t even talk to my servants the way he talked to her. I also never put a hand on any of them. They may be my servants, but they are still part of my pack and deserve the respect of any other wolf. I couldn’t wait to see if she was my mate. Either way, I was going to take her away from this place and make sure she is treated better than she is here. Stormy's POV I started cleaning the Alpha King’s room. I restocked his mini-fridge and liquor bar. I changed out the linen and replaced it with fresh ones. As I was stocking the bathroom with fresh towels the Royal Beta came in. He found me working cleaning the bathroom and restocking it. “Sorry to interrupt. I was looking for the Alpha.” “I haven’t seen him. I’m sure he’s around here somewhere though. Excuse me sir, but I must finish up chores now.” “Stormy?” I turned to look at him questioningly. “What did I say about calling me, sir.” He said with a smile on his face. “Oh, right, sorry. I mean Robert.” I smiled up at him and continued with my work before heading down to start dinner. Tonight, I wanted to make a dinner worthy of a King. I made steak, baked potatoes, a lovely garden salad, and for dessert, I made a chocolate pie and German chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. I hoped the King liked it. I heard it was one of his favorites though I didn’t know how true that was. I sat all the food on the buffet the turned to leave the dining room before everyone started arriving. It was best if I wasn’t seen. As I sat on my bed reading my favorite book “Grounded the Adventures of Rapunzel” by Megan Morrison a knock came on the door. I opened the door to see the Royal Beta standing there with a plate of food. I looked at it warily. “I didn’t see you at dinner, so I brought you something to eat.” Suddenly there came a low growl from the doorway. “She’s not hungry.” The royal beta turned to shoot daggers at Brandon. “Are you sure? I haven’t seen her eat anything since lunch. Even then she only ate an apple and drank a bottle of water.” “I said she’s not hungry.” This time Robert got angry “Watch your tone with me boy. You’re not Alpha yet and you will respect the royal beta. You can return to the dining hall. I will stay with miss Stormy and make sure she eats. Now!” Robert barked and Brandon shied away from the Royal Beta. Ducking his head, he headed back up the stair. Robert turned to me and handed me the plate. “Now eat. I won’t leave until you do.” I smiled up at him and thanked him before digging into the food. It had been a long time since I was able to eat a decent meal. I savored every moment of it. “When are you going, to be honest with me about the bullying Stormy?” “I have been.” “No Stormy, you haven’t. Don’t you see? I can protect you. You don’t have to be scared to tell me.” I sat silently. Too scared to speak. Scared someone would overhear and go tell Brandon that I told. Robert sighed and climbed back up the steps leaving me alone in my room. 1
