Those words of reassurance made her feel better and be less scared when around him. Those were the words that she needed to hear to feel more safer around him. Even though he had promised her that everything would be alright and he would take good care of her. She didn't fully trust him since he wasn't a human and a vampire who detested humans. She felt relieved as she struggled to stare at him. Unlike the other times she looked down, she tried her best to maintain eye contact. She wanted to show him that she wasn't the little scared princess he just got married to. Even though it was hard for her , she tried her level best to stare at him without blinking.

"Alright my husband", this was her first to call him that way when he hadn't reminded her of addressing him that way. A wide satisfied grin appeared on his face at what he just heard. He was overwhelmed with happiness as he was now convinced that she had accepted him as her husband. That's was what he wanted to hear that she was now comfortable around him.

A rollercoaster of emotions jumbled through her mind as she was staring at him intensely. The only thing she could think of was how he was so handsome even though it was dark outside. She could see him well since there was a lamp inside the carriage. She was glad since she got married to a very handsome guy. She hoped that he was a good man and that he would treat her well as they started to live as a couple.

"Good... that's how you should be calling me", he mentioned with a slight grin on his face. He was quite pleased with her action and the way she started to be comfortable around him. Even though he could feel that she was still anxious, he was glad that she tried her best to be so cool.

"Why are you so good to me", she didn't want to ask him this question but asked it anyway. She couldn't quite understand the reason why he was so gentle to her yet they didn't know each other. She didn't think that he would be so good to her especially since he was forced to marry her inorder to fulfill his father's words. He couldn't refuse to marry her since he also wanted children and marrying a vampire would make him have no kids or bear few kids. Vampires rate of birth was so low compared to that of humans. That's why the king wanted to have a human as his daughter in law. He wanted his children to get more children than he had. He didn't want his lineage to end with his kids.

"It's cause am now your husband and it's my responsibility to take care of you", he mentioned as he placed his hands on her shoulders. The tingling sensation curled through her body as he placed his hand on her shoulder. Every little touch from him was making her feel like her world was crumbling due to what he made her feel. She felt an out of this world experience and desired to ask more from him but she couldn't. It's like she had no control of her body at that particular time. Her body yawned for him so badly and that made her feel like hugging him tightly but she couldn't react. She pretended like she felt nothing after he did that. She just forced a smile on her face as she glanced at him.

She didn't respond rather looked down again. Silence enveloped in the carriage as they were heading to Xarvia. Xarvia was a few miles away from where she was living. She knew that they would stay in the carriage for more than ten hours as they were traveling slowly. Blake couldn't run his way home cause of her. He knew that the wind would affect her and didn't want her to fall sick. That's why he was just traveling using the carriage with her. She started to feel a little light headed as she tried to position herself in the best position to sleep. But whenever she did that, she was awakened by the bouncing of the carriage on the rough patches on the road. This made her feel more dizzy and couldn't quite get the best position to sleep.

Blake did the unthinkable, he moved closer to her and made her lay her head on his shoulder. He was being a very caring husband at that moment and that made her blush. She had never been so close to any other man that way other than her brother and father. This act made her heart melt and she started to feel more special than she felt. He made her feel like he cared for her even though they had just met. Her eye lids closed and she fell asleep at that moment. Sleeping on his shoulder made her feel more warmer and more comfortable than she was.

After a while she finally woke up. She opened her eyes slowly as she tried to adjust to the brightness of the morning. It was already dawn and she couldn't believe that she had fallen asleep for more than five hours. She hadn't slept well for the last two days. She was thinking about how her life would be so miserable when she got married to the prince. She thought of the way he would be so arrogant towards her and not care about her. But then he acted differently than she thought. He wasn't arrogant towards her in any way. He was so gentle and caring and treated her like she was the most special person in his life. This made her have so many unanswered questions jumbling through her mind. She didn't understand the reason why he was too caring for the few hours that she spent with him.

"Good morning Ary", he mentioned after she sat straight. She yawned afterwards before she could answer him.

"Good morning too Blake", she addressed him that way like how he just called her by her name. She then remembered how she slept and that made her blush again. She couldn't believe that she was the one who slept too close to a man. Even though he was her husband now, she hadn't been so close to a man like that before. That's why she was so shy around him and whenever he moved closer to her she felt like exploding.

"We will have breakfast first at the nearest hotel before we continue our journey", he mentioned as he was staring at her intensely. The few moments he was around her, he was admiring her all the time. He was mesmerized by her beauty and the way she was so cute yet so innocent at the same time. Her innocence was a turn on for him.

"Would love that am so hungry", Ariana mentioned as she pointed at her empty stomach. Since the wedding, she hadn't taken anything audible yet. She was glad that he cared about her and her well being. She didn't pretend that she wasn't hungry cause she wouldn't want to miss eating at that time. She knew that hotels were scarce in the area.

"Good we will stop at the nearest hotel", he mentioned again and yelled so that the guy riding the horse would hear him. The guy informed him that he heard him and would do as he had wished. After a few minutes, the carriage finally stopped. They were sure that they had finally arrived and it was about time to eat. The guard riding the horse opened the carriage for them first. Blake got out of the carriage then helped Ariana to highlight it. He was always gentle to her all the time. She didn't think that he would treat her that way especially cause she was just a stranger to him. But then she thought that he did that cause she was a princess. He stretched out his hand to her. Her eyes widened in disbelief, she didn't think that he would do that. But then she knew that he would do that since he's been acting so gentle when around her. She was just amazed that he was behaving like they loved each other so much.

"Still surprised...?" He raised a brow at her. He couldn't believe that she was still astonished by his actions. He was trying his best to treat her right since she would be the mother of his kids. She wanted her to feel special and taken care of well when around him. Just like how he had promised his dad to take care of her.

"Yes you have been so good to me. It scares me alot what are you upto", this time she went straight to the point. She wanted to understand the reason why he was so good to her. She didn't want to guess so she opted to ask him what he was planning to do.

"I am not planning anything bad Ary. I am your husband now and it is my duty to take care of you. Like I earlier told you that I vowed to take good care of you. That's what am doing right now so stop thinking of the worst", he didn't understand the reason as to why she was doubting his actions. He was trying his best to treat her right and that meant that he would do the extra mile to make her feel special. When they entered in the hotel. He first pushed the chair for her to enter. This time around she didn't question his move or be surprised. She just thanked him for his sweet gesture.

She then ordered her breakfast first. He ordered what she had ordered. Their orders were brought by the waitresses who were looking so stunning. It was her first time to dine in a public food joint. Since her existence she had never experienced what it felt like to eat in a hotel. She hastily started to dine as she was too hungry to pretend that she didn't want to eat. Blake also ate his meal as his eyes were glancing at her from time to time.
