I gasped when I finally processed what he just said. But I couldn't say anything, I just remained staring at him. My mouth parted as I gaped at him with disbelief. I was speechless.
Silence enveloped us for a few minutes until I heard his heavy sigh.
"It was an accident. I didn't mean it." he said in a low voice after a while. It made my jaw drop to the ground!
Accident? How can you accidentally kill someone?! I wanted to shout at him but I should know better than that. He didn't need the judgment. I have no idea about how psychology goes, but the years of keeping everything to myself taught me well enough.
I gulped to swallow every hurtful word that I wanted to say. I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
