Veronica's POV
Hearing that voice, I was very much surprised. ‘How did she find out I am here?’ My face shrank as I gave it thought.
I stood on my feet and I paced gently. Getting to the door, I opened it and the first thing she did was hug me warmly with excitement.
“I missed you so much, Veronica.” Her voice, so calm and sweet.
I grunted with displeasure. “I am unhappy with you, Chloe.” I frowned.
That took Chloe aback, “Why is that?” she asked.
Her face was innocent, as if she wasn't aware of what happened to me earlier.
“Would you tell me that you didn't hear that I was kidn*pped?” I shot a deadly glare at her when I reminded her.
“kidn*pped?!” Chloe echoed at the top of her voice with shock.
Her actions only made me raise my eyebrows.
