“Of course, I will. "Please give me exactly fifteen minutes to round up with what I am doing,” I informed him.
“Okay. "I will be waiting for you to reach out.” After his response, I ended the call.
Invested in work, I put in more effort.
My secretary walked into my office. Her footsteps called my attention. I raised my head and looked at her at once.
“Would you like me to buy you lunch?” She asked.
I was surprised. “Is it the work of a secretary to buy their bosses lunch?” I asked her with a side-glare.
“Of course, according to secretary etiquette.” She responded within a snap.
I half-smiled, because I was happy she was conversant with what she had been taught.
“That won't be needed. "Thank you.” I responded to her sharply before I focused on what I was doing.
