Veronica's POV
Laid on my bed in deep sleep, but I was startled awake when my phone started ringing.
‘Gosh. 'Who is calling me?’ I whispered under my breath as I managed to get up. Picking up my phone, it's my secretary at the office.
‘What does she want?’ I hissed after having that thought before I picked up.
“Hello.” My tone was harsh and sharp.
“Ma, Overnight something incredible happened.” She spoke with excitement. I was curious.
“What's the good news?” I asked her.
“Just overnight, the company’s revenue increased by fifty percent.” She broke the news sharply and my lips curved with a smile.
“That's good news. "I will be arriving at the company very soon,” I said, and quickly ended the call.
