“So it’s been settled,Jangmi is getting married to Seojun ”. Mr Seo,Her father said with a straight face. Hearing those words, she felt as if her world stopped entirely as she kept staring blankly at her father. “Omg,really really dad?”. Jangmi asked in her low tiny voice, as she looks happily at her father and over to Seojun, who sat next to her with his hands on hers. Mr Seo slowly nods his head as he gave his daughter a bright smile. Jangmi smiled happily as she went over to her father and gave him a tight hug. “Seems like not everyone is happy with this decision”. Mrs Choi (Seojun ’s mother) said as she looks over at the girl who sat alone on the couch, staring blankly at her father who seemed to care less about her existence. “Of course Heejin, wouldn’t be too happy seeing her sister getting married before she does”. Mrs Seo said as she looked at her from her head downwards, with a mocking smile plastered on her face, then looked over to Mrs Choi who nodded her head in support. “Oh mom please “. Jangmi said as she looked at Heejin. “Hey Heejin are you alright?”. Heejin quickly regained herself upon hearing her name called by a demonic angelic voice. She made a light sigh as she adjusted her glasses. Looking over to the white lotus, a small smile appeared on her face. “Congratulations you both”. “Oh please, don’t you know it’s bad to wish someone well when it didn’t actually come from your heart?, who knows what might happen”. Mrs Choi said making Seojun chuckle slightly. “Mom, why are you always sassy?”. Seojun asked with a smile. Jangmi looked and hit him on his hand playfully. “It’s not like you’re not sassy Junie, anyways mom you’re perfect”. Mrs Choi chuckled as she admires her daughter-in-law to be. “Thank you hunny, at least I have a daughter who can praise me now, unlike my son”. Seojun looked at him mom unbelievably. “Mom really?. He said in between his laugh. “Ok now this is turning into a family get together”. Mr Choi finally said after moments of quietness. “Hunny, it’s just that I am very excited to finally have a good daughter in-law”. Mrs Choi said as she gave Heejin a scornful look as she made sure she stresses the GOOD DAUGHTER IN-LAW Heejin knew Mrs Choi was doing everything to see her pained, which was actually working,but she wasn’t going to let them know so she had to keep a straight face. She took a quick glance at Seojun who was looking so happy as he kept staring at Jangmi nonstop, which seemed as if she was the only girl in the room. She started thinking of the times where Seojun used to stare at her just like that as if when he stop staring at her she would disappear from the world, and she clearly remembered those moments as if it was yesterday, and then it dawned on her it was just yesterday. She felt something light and wet falling down her face, and she realized it was a tear. She quickly used the handkerchief which was with her to wipe her tears, and of course doing it in a way were no one would notice, but of course the devil always watches closely. “Are you alright, Heejin?”. Jangmi asked pretending to care about her. Everyone suddenly turned their gaze to Heejin, who looked shocked and embarrassed. She slowly raised her head to look at the scornful gaze of the eyes on her. She suddenly felt cold due to how all eyes were on her, she tried to speak but nothing came out. “Jangmi, why do you bother yourself about her?, she doesn’t even appreciate how much you care for her, that’s the reason she kept you quiet”. Mrs Choi said as she turned to Mrs Seo who also supported her by nodding. “It’s not like that, I think I sat under this light for too long and it kind of made my eyes hurt a lot”. Heejin said with a small smile and turned to Jangmi, putting on an apologetic look. “ I’m sorry Jangmi, I didn’t mean to ignore you”. “It’s nothing Heejin,I didn’t take it to heart”. Seojun held Jangmi hand and turned to his mom.” Isn’t she an angel, if I was the one this happened to I would be very pissed”. Everyone one laughed at Seojun’s statement, and they all praised Jamgmi for her good behavior while ignoring Heejin who sat there looking dejected. She stood up from the couch and left the room, but no one noticed until it was time for the Chois’ to leave. Heejin got out of the building and left in her car to the park. Getting there she went to a favorite spot which was close to a small pool. She sat on the grass as she took off her glasses. She suddenly laughed as she kept staring at the still pool, which looked so calm and peaceful. “Junie,married?”. She asked no-one in particular. She suddenly remembered how close and sweet Seojun and Jangmi looked. She thought of how Seojun couldn’t stop staring at Jangmi lovingly and how Jangmi did same. A tear suddenly found its way in her eyes as she started crying her eyes out. “What did I do wrong, that I have to be punished my entire life”. She whispered audibly as she hits her chest lightly. “Probably the wrong you did is crying too loud”. She heard a manly voice say and felt his hands holding hers which prevented her from hitting her chest.
