“W-What’s the matter?” I asked Marco nervously.
I am so scared, but I am trying my best to calm down. I was so nervous, thinking that he might be mad at me. What if he already knew about Shiloh, and he was mad at me? What if he won’t forgive me this time?
“We have to talk about something important,” he said.
My heart was like a loud drum. Beating loud and fast. I am biting my lips. Praying he was not mad, but his expression was so serious that I almost got a heart attack. My nervousness will kill the hell out of me.
“About what?” I asked him.
I have to hear it now. I can’t take it any longer… My heart will explode any minute.
“About your shares,” he said.
I exhaled after hearing that. Thank goodness! I almost lost consciousness. Good thing it was just about my former company shares.
