“Lover girl!” Rana shouted as she entered the restaurant I was planning to rent. I rolled my eyes as I walked towards her. She’s teasing me again for being a romantic. Well, Jacob deserves a surprise, for being a loving boyfriend. For almost two years of our relationship, he never failed to make me feel so loved. It’s time for me to do the same. “I missed you!” I kissed Rana’s cheeks. She recently returned from an international vacation. I know she really had fun abroad based on her social media posts. Well, I am happy for her though. I really hoped that she would bring home a man for her to grow old with. “I missed you too,” she happily greeted back. Hand in hand, we stroll inside as I spill the beans about the top-secret surprise I have in store for Jacob. The details excite my best friend. She is really happy for me and I am thankful to have a very supportive friend like her. “After all of this, I am sure that Jacob will propose to you,” Rana excitedly said. I jumped for joy at her words! If only Jacob could pop the question right this second! I’ll gladly say yes. But before that, I really wanted Jacob to feel how much I loved him with this surprise. After an hour, Rana and I decided to part ways for the mean time. She’ll party later while I am going to Jacob’s condo. I’ll just ask him for a date tomorrow. I have to make sure that he has no plans for us so I can execute my surprise flawlessly. I really want to make our second anniversary memorable. I drove my car away from the restaurant and went straight to Jacob’s condo. I don’t know, but I kinda feel nervous right now. I don’t usually visit him surprised, so he might be surprised now that I am here. Well, I know his passcode, so no need to call him that I am coming and just in case that he is not here yet, I’ll just wait for him. I think it’s a good idea too if I cook him dinner. We can eat dinner together later. While I am in the elevator, I am using my phone and searching for a recipe. Hmm… I can’t think of any delicious meal so I might check any suggestions too on the internet. I know how to cook, so it’s really easy for me to follow recipes online. Good thing I know what Jacob’s taste. As soon as I arrived at the floor where Jacob's unit is located, I promptly exited the elevator. I am in a good mood but something inside my heart is wrong. My heart’s beating so fast. I didn’t run though, I just let out a heavy sigh to calm myself. Maybe I am getting nervous about my surprise tomorrow. Pressing the passcode on the door, while having a heavy heart. I can’t explain why I am feeling this way. As soon as the door opened, my ears filled with the sounds of a woman moaning so loudly. I blink three times in a row just to make sure I am not dreaming. I look at the surroundings, the sofa, the painting, and even the color of the ceiling just to make sure I am in the right unit. Am I hearing things? I slowly walked inside. Silent as a whisper, my steps leave no trace. I went straight to the bedroom. My hands start to tremble, a woman screaming in pleasure is inside. “Ahhh…” My heart sank, a familiar voice… “Harder! Ahhh… Jacob!” I bit my lower lip hard until it bled. I don’t know if I can take it. I want to turn my back and just pretend that I am just hearing things, but I know, I pretty know that I am awake. I am not dreaming, I am not even drunk, I am sober. I want to fool myself. Jacob can’t do this to me, right? He’s been so nice to me, he’s the best man ever. He will never cheat on me. I trust him with all my heart. This scenario never crossed my mind imagined that I'd be experiencing this moment. With all the strength and bravery left in me, I twisted the knob. My eyes started to get blurry as soon as my tears flowed like a river. In front of me is my loving boyfriend pumping into my younger sister. Her moans were so loud that it almost made me deaf. Her hands are gripping so tightly in the sheets, while Jacob’s hands are resting on her hills, massaging them. My whole world crashed. It is too painful to watch them doing that in front of me. It is really a different level of pain if you witness the two people you trust so much betrayed you. Even words cannot explain how painful it is, how hurt I am right now. I am breathing but I feel like I already died the moment I saw them doing the dirty thing. “H-How…” my voice cracked. I can’t even speak properly. My knees fell, I covered my face using my palm. I sobbed, I cried loud. “Athena…” Jacob’s surprised voice. I didn’t hear anything from Sally. When I stop crying, I look up to them. They’re already putting their clothes on. I let out a heavy breath and stand up with all my might. “Continue what you guys are doing, enjoy it with every drop of your sweats,” I coldly said. I turned my back on them. I never expected this betrayal, it hurts like hell. I wanted to stab them to death but that won’t do me good. I don’t know if I can trust anymore after this. My heart is bleeding so bad, I am badly hurt. I don’t know how to start again, I always dream of having Jacob as my husband. If it’s not him I rather not marry. “Athena!” Jacob called me before I can step my foot outside his unit.
