**Three Months later** Jaclyn’s POV I woke in the warm embrace of Logan’s arms. I had no idea what time he got home last night because I was already asleep. He had messaged me that Liam really needed him and he would be late. I decided the best way to wake him up would be for some morning s*x. It didn’t take long for Logan to wake up and respond to my actions. “How did I manage to get you as a girlfriend?” He said, kissing me over and over. “I guess you are just a really lucky guy.” I said, giggling before he flipped me over and had his way with me. After breakfast, we watched a movie and cuddled into the afternoon. “I told your Mom we would have lunch with them. Oh, and Liam and Ella will be there too.” Logan tensed up and looked at me. “This should be fun.” “What’s wrong?” He ran his hand through his hair. “Liam doesn’t want to marry Ella.” “Oh what happened.” “It’s not really my place to say, but I guess we should get ready.” An ominous atmosphere filled the room and he got ready to head to his parent’s house. Entering the main house, we could hear Ella talking loudly about the wedding. I silently looked up at Logan and he shrugged his shoulders. Taking my hand, he led me to the dining hall. As soon as we entered the room, the smile on Ella’s face quickly turned to a frown. Swiftly breaking the silence, Logan’s Mother Julia jumped from the table and embraced me in a warm hug. “I am so glad you guys are here.” She said before releasing me and pulling Logan in to a hug. “Mom, you act like I don’t live right behind you,” Logan said with a chuckle. “Come, let’s eat.” During lunch I sat quietly and listened to Ella and Julia talk about the wedding. Until Ella decided to turn her attention on me. “You know, Jaclyn, you are really lucky you will never have to deal with a high-society wedding.” It must have been the confused look on my face that caused her to elaborate. “I mean we all know Logan isn’t going to marry an orphan from a no-name family.” I looked over to Logan expecting him to say something, but he just kept staring at his food. Ella continued. “I mean have you even talked about what was going to happen when he goes to the UK?” She smirked at me knowing the answer was no. “At the end of next semester Liam will be taking over my Father’s Company and Logan will be leaving you for the UK.” Still silence from Logan and he refused to make eye contact. “Oh I am so sorry Jaclyn. I assumed you knew. I mean look around you. Logan comes from an influential family and you come from…… well, nothing.” As I looked around the table my heart broke. This family that made me feel welcome now couldn’t even make eye contact with me. I stood up from the table and looked at Julia. “Thank you for lunch. I think I will be going now.” I turned and started toward the door. I guess I thought Logan would try and stop me or at least say something but nothing. I went to the guest house and started to pack my clothes. I am no longer comfortable staying here. I loaded my car and headed to Lisa’s. “I can’t believe he didn’t say anything.” Lisa said for the tenth time. “I don’t know what he could have said. His silence said everything. I mean, I know we hadn’t said anything about him leaving for a year, but I guess I was thinking…..Oh I don’t know what I was thinking. “ My phone began ringing again. I knew it was Logan and I wasn’t ready to talk to him. At this point, I was still trying to figure out my feelings. “Turn your phone off and let’s get some sleep.” Lisa said, smiling at me. So that is what I did. I closed my eyes and let sleep consume me. Logan’s POV What the hell just happened? Ella going off on Jaclyn pissed me off, but I was more pissed at myself since I didn’t say anything. I knew staying together when I went to the UK was never going to work. I just wasn’t ready to talk about it. Shortly after Jaclyn left, Liam told Ella they needed to talk and they left. I made my way back to the guest house ready to try and make things right with Jaclyn but when I opened the door I knew something was wrong. That’s when I noticed her car was gone. I called and sent her text message after message but she didn’t respond. That is when I noticed her stuff was gone. So I did the only thing I could think of was to keep calling and messaging her. I finally stopped when I realized she had turned off her phone. I decided to get some sleep and I would start trying to find her again in the morning. I knew the only place she would go was Lisa’s.
