The Alpha and the Omega

Chapter 15

Camilla’s POV

As I was getting my nails done, I started to have a really bad feeling but I ignored it. As soon as they were done, I made my way back to the library.

Ugh the stupid library. Why would she want to spend the day at the library? Normally I would have said no but I felt bad. Jayson asked me to keep her occupied while he finally dealt with Milly. I was still mad at myself for pushing him to find a Luna.

But had I not pushed him to look, he would never have found Jaclyn. She was going to make a great Luna once they got past all of their issues. I quickly found a parking spot and made my way into the library. I got to the second floor and headed toward the corner where I left Jaclyn. When I came around the corner, my stomach dropped.

OK Camilla, before panicking she might be getting a new book. Yeah, she is getting a new book. But when I saw her phone with a note saying she was sorry, I knew she was gone. I quickly called Brett.

“Hey Babe! We just got to Alpha Damon’s. Is everything OK?”

“I lost her Brett. I lost her.” Panic flooded my voice.

“What do you mean you lost her?”

“I left her alone in the stupid library and went to get my nails done and I was gone for like an hour and 45 minutes tops. But when I got back she was gone. She left her phone and a note saying she was sorry.” I didn’t realize it but I had started crying.

“ OK babe, calm down. I will call some pack members and send them your way. Head to the bus and train station first. I will send you a picture of her once I talk to Alpha. I know he has a ton on his phone.”

“ OK hurry, I am heading to the bus station first, it’s the closest.”

Brett’s POV

Shit! Alpha is going to lose it when I tell him she is gone. I took a deep breath before mind linking him.

‘Alpha’

‘What do you need Beta? This is not a good time?’

‘We have a situation.’

‘Can it wait?’

‘Its about Jaclyn’

‘s**t. Give me a couple of minutes, I will be right out.”

It felt like an eternity for him to come out of the Alpha’s office. While waiting for him, I called Cody our Delta and Devrin our Gamma. They were on route to Camilla to see if they could pick up her scent. It was a long shot but I could hope.

Alpha Jayson came out of the office, followed by a worried Alpha Damon.

“Thank you Alpha Jayson. I will handle Milly from here. Before you go, umm might I inquire what happened to the Omega you took with you?”

“She is my Mate.” And with that simple statement the entire demeanor of Alpha Damon changed.

“WHAT?”

“She is my mate,” Jayson stated again. With that, he turned to me and asked me what the issue was as if Alpha Damon himself was an Omega.

“Maybe we should talk about this in the car Alpha?” I suggested and prayed he would agree.

“Fine. Let’s go.” He said and started to make his way to the door. But before we could make it out the door, Alpha Damon stopped us.

“You don’t deserve her.”

Alpha Jayson stopped but didn’t turn around. “You are probably right, but I am going to do everything I can to change that.” With that we left the Pack house.

Before we made it to the vehicle, Jayson asked me again. “What the Hell is going on?”

“Jaclyn is gone.” I spit out.

“WHAT?”

“Camilla took her to the library and might have left her alone. When she got back she had left her phone with a note that said sorry.”

“s**t! Let’s go. I have to find her. I didn’t explain anything to her. She doesn’t know.” I didn’t ask what she didn’t know. We just got in the SUV and started on our way home.

Jayson’s POV

She was gone. Beau was freaking out. He was so mad at me for not telling her everything. For not treating her like the Queen she is and for killing her wolf.

I will find her and I will make it up to her. But she will never leave my sight again.

I picked my phone up and called Camilla. “Any news?”

“Nothing yet. There was no scent left but the bus station is closer to the library. 6 buses have left during that time. The train station had 4 trains leave. But nobody remembers seeing her.”

“We will find her. I am sending you a picture of her now to show them again. After that, make your way home and we will figure out a plan."
