Chapter 24

Jaclyn’s POV

The next couple of months went by quickly. Logan and I got really close. We spent every free minute together. I can’t even remember the last time he slept in his own room. We had been together for 2 months.

Liam and Ella had worked out whatever issue they had and the wedding was still moving forward as planned. Logan asked me to be his date for the wedding. But before I needed to worry about the wedding, there was spring break. All over campus, people were planning getaways and Logan and I had yet to even talk about it.

“Logan?”

“Yeah babe.” He said, closing his textbook.

“Do you have plans already for spring break?”

“Yeah I do. Well, I hope I do. I just want to be with you. I don’t need to go anywhere.”

I couldn’t help but smile. “Would you want to drive to Ohio with me to visit Maggie?”

“I would love to go with you to Ohio.” He said, planting a kiss on my lips.

“Great we could make it in one day, but I thought we could stop half way.”

“I will start planning it now. I am done studying.”

I messaged Maggie and she said she couldn’t wait to meet Logan. I had FaceTimed with her and introduced them, but this would be the first time in person.

“Jaclyn.”

I smiled up at Logan. “Yes?”

He had a look of concern on his face. “I just got a text from my Dad.”

“Is everything OK?”

“He wants me to intern to take over his business.”

“Logan, that is great! I am so happy for you!”

“ In January of next year he wants me to spend a year in the office in England and if I do well he will hand me over the business.”

That’s when I realize why he doesn’t look happy. I pulled myself onto his lap. “That is 8 months away. We will figure it out, OK?” I knew he had been working to take over his father's company. I would never stand in the way of his dream.

“Really? You still want to be with me?”

“Are you serious? Of course, I want to be with you, Logan. I love you.” As soon as the words left my mouth I started to get hot. I bit my lip and realized I had just told him I loved him. Before I had a chance to have a melt down, he wrapped his arms around me.

“I love you too!” Pulling into him and placing a passionate kiss on my lips.

When he pulled away, I realized this was my happy place. Right here with Logan. I just wish Nova could have met him. She would have loved him too.
