Chapter 23

Jaclyn’s POV

I woke up with a smile. Last night was amazing. It’s crazy how different my life is from where I was a year ago. I quickly showered and got dressed. I figured I would run to the cafe down the road and grab breakfast and surprise Logan.

As I was walking through the door I received a text message from Logan telling me Liam was in his room when he got back last night and was wasted. I grabbed 3 large coffees and breakfast for all three of us before heading back to the dorms. About 15 minutes later, I was softly knocking on Logan's door. He opened it and a giant smile broke out on his face.

Kissing me softly on the lips. “How did I get so lucky,” Grabbing the coffee, he led me into the room. I looked over to see Liam still asleep and in the same clothes as last night.

I looked back at Logan. “I brought you breakfast too.” I then held my keys up in front of him. “Unless you wanted to shower first.”

He quickly grabbed my keys and gave me a deep kiss. “I will be right back.” He grabbed his stuff and went out the door.

I started to unpack breakfast when Liam started to stir. I looked over and his eyes were open and looking at me and his face had a very confused look. “Good Morning.” I said, handing him a coffee.

“Thank you.” He grumbled.

“How are you feeling?”

“It hurts to even think.”

I chuckled a bit before handing him a sandwich. “Logan went to take a shower. He will be back soon.”

He smiled at me and started eating. We sat in silence and ate and about 10 minutes later Logan returned.

Kissing me quickly and handing me back my keys. “You are amazing.” His words caused me to blush.

“So, Liam, how did you get here last night?” Logan asked.

“I took a cab.”

“Logan, you can use my car to take you home when you are ready,” I offered.

“Thanks. I should be heading out soon. I have some damage control to do with Ella.” He said, looking at his coffee the entire time he talked.

I sadly smiled at him. Poor guy must have had a fight with his fiancée and went to his brother.

“I will let you two talk.” I said, walking towards the door. I took my car keys off my key ring and handed them to Logan.

“Thanks babe.” He said before kissing me. I went from no kisses to lots of kisses in a matter of a few hours. Every time he kissed me my belly got butterflies.

“Bye Liam, Bye Logan.” I said, closing the door behind me and heading to my room.

Logans’ POV

I didn’t say anything at first. I ate my breakfast and waited to see if Liam would speak first. But he didn’t, in the normal Liam style.

“Are we going to talk about last night?” I finally asked after finishing my breakfast.

“I would rather not, but I guess we should. I just don’t even know where to start.”

“How about starting by telling me why you have damage control and we will go from there.”

“After seeing you and Jaclyn last night I got…… Mad or jealous, I don’t even know. But at dinner I started drinking. A lot. Before the end of dinner, I was feeling a buzz. I don’t even know how it happened but I said that Jaclyn looked really hot. Then, as we were leaving, I kissed her and called her Jaclyn. So she got pissed and drove us back to my place and dropped me off and took my car to take herself home.”

“Shit.” I said, running my hand over my face.

“Yeah. Listen, I am not going to try and hide it. I have a thing for Jaclyn but I can’t be with her. I guess I just didn’t think I would see her with my brother. I guess I knew one day somebody would swoop in and take her but…”

“I get it Liam. She is smart, funny, beautiful, and innocent. But you are getting married. How long have you felt this way?”

“From day one. These last 6 months have been the best and the worst. I spend 5-6 days a week with her. Do you know how many times I have almost kissed her? It has been torture wanting to hold her and be with her but knowing I was already with somebody else.”

“I am sorry Liam. But I need you to know I don’t plan on stopping what I have started with her.”

He looked at me in disgust. “You are a man w***e. She deserves better. What about Dad? Do you think he will approve? She doesn't come from money and you know how he is.”

Man, that hurt coming from my own brother. I mean he was right. I was a man w***e but Jaclyn makes me only want her. It’s a new and weird feeling for me. “I know I have been a w***e but I want to be with Jaclyn and only Jaclyn. I will worry about Dad later. I mean we are just getting to know each other. I'm not marrying her. What about Ella? I think she deserves better.”

“Yeah, Ella deserves better too. I just don’t want you to hurt Jaclyn.”

“I can’t promise I won’t hurt her, but I can promise that I will try my best not to hurt her. She isn’t just a girl I want to have s*x with. I mean I do, but I want everything with her. I want to hold her hand and hear her laugh. It’s all new and really weird for me.”

Liam looked at me surprised. “ OK well, I guess if she can’t be with me, you are the next best thing.”

Laughing, I smacked him on the back. “Come on let’s get you home so you can shower because you stink and I will drop you off at Ella’s after.
