TRUST ME!
Mai runs across the courtyard to get back into the palace without anybody noticing that she had left her room. With all the fightig between the imperial army and the rebles, anything could happen to her, but she had always been one to break the rules. she considered the customs of her people backwards and ancient and had always preferred the modern life. For example, today she sneaked out of the palace to go to a party one which her father wouldn't agree with but nonetheless she went anyway. she had a strong disregard for the rules her father had put in place for her. since childhood she had always been somewhat of a reble and the situation only got worse after the death of her mother. she believed that the Han family.y was to blame for the tragedy but had no proof even her most trusted friend was unable to aquire the information. but that did not detor her she vowed to herself that no matter the cost she would prove that her mother's death was no accident but wasn't able to and she spent the rest of that evening coming up with a new plan to get a confession. the only problem was that Mr Han was a good friend of her father but where almost everyone saw a problem, she saw an opportunity which she planed to take full advantage of.
one evening, her father organised a party where all the nobles were invited. Mai planed to fake date one of the sons of Mr Han so as to get close to the family and discover whatever secrets they may have she practiced for the whole afternoon with her maid proper etiquette and by evening she felt confident that she could pull her plan off. soon the guests were arriving and per her father's request she stood at the door and politely welcomed all the invited guests who arrived in short succession of each other and a little while later the party was in full swing. she asked one of the Han boys to dance and he complied. the two danced for twenty minutes before she offers to bring punch for the two of them. she returns five minutes later and offers him a glass of punch spiked with nantes that had tracking devices that could stay active for a week till passed out in urine. " you can trust me." she whispered into his ear before biding him farewell at the end of the party. Mai thought she had the perfect cover and that she could complete the mission quickly but what she did not know was that Axel had a few tricks of his own up his sleeve he planted a spy bug on her dress. the bug could comaflauge itself which made it hard to find luckily since this was a personal mission, she had no one to report to and that made Axel very frustrated since he could not pull anything on Mai. his frustration grew even more when the bug was thrown into the lau dry and it shorted out. this left him without any leads on the potential enemy. meanwhile,Mai gatherd her old team from when she was in high-school to her pull off the mission because she soon dis coverd that Axel wasn't working on his own but had an extensive team of agents on his side.
