Max eyed the Cagon flying over the fortress. Herrick and Cymry decided it was best to scout ahead before the rest of the group reached the front gate. The Cagon were two winged shadows in the night sky. The there was trouble, they were to signal with a swooping pattern. So far, they remained high above the fortress.
Davi, Basil and Milo walked quietly beside him. Bonedread, Zeeback and Merna came next. Zeeback carried Snoop in his arms. Snoop had lost the ability to walk on his own, but still refused to return to Merrihaven. Merna had scooped up the Spriggan, so Milo was free to move if the Black Order attacked.
