18 Oxworth watched the activity from the Downs. Two men, a dog and a pixie gathered around the fat, pink creature. They seemed to be studying it. He smacked the tree he was hiding behind. There was no way to get to the bayard without being seen. “Come on. Go away.” He reached into his pocket to make sure the berries were still there. “The bayard will have allergies for days and produce enough tears.” The small crowd around the creature still hadn’t moved.
