Max swung around as the door at the back of the room crashed open. A large body covered the opening, showing only the midsection, but he knew it was Bertha. Something slammed against the walls, then pounded in rapid succession. Half-giant sized holes appeared around the door frame, until Bertha and Wunder pushed the wall and door to the floor. They stomped into the room and made for a menacing sight. “Next time you sick your guards on us make sure they’re big enough,” said Bertha. “Time to go, boys.” She eyed Tommy standing on the platform and Birdie’s body on the floor. Then searched the room until her eyes landed on Snoop crumpled at the back of the room. She lifted her chin and pointed at him. Wunder quickly crossed the room and picked him up.
