I was initially skeptical about allowing a vampire to join us, but after spending a short time back in the palace, Brutus reassured us that the vampire was harmless. He possessed a wealth of knowledge on the older immortal witches, being just as old as some of them. He expressed shock when he saw that Mia and I were identical to the Royal white wolf and her mate. Even more surprising was his discovery that we were given a second chance. In light of this, he raised a valid question to everyone: why was I made to forget my true identity as a human? Did the immortal witch know who I was? It was evident that she needed Mia to find me, so why hide me? Was it for my protection until Mia was of age, or was someone else toying with destiny?
