You are awake!" Nicholas' voice echoed in the dining area. He pushed the chair backward and walked towards the stairs. A slender girl with an oval face took careful steps down the stairs, she was dressed in bum shorts and a pink tank top. Her black hair swept her backside as she took careful steps. "When did you wake up?" She asked in a British accent, beaming with a charming smile. Nicholas placed his finger under his chin, tapping it consecutively, "It has been an hour, I think!" he responded with a sarcastic laugh. "Oh!" Ivy huffed as she took the last step, with a sarcastic laugh too. She walked to Nicholas and wrapped her hand around his neck. "How was your night?" She asked almost in a whisper. Nicholas smiled, "It was blissful because we caressed each other in our warm embrace," he responded, biting his lower lips. Ivy chuckled, "I can't wait for us to get officially married," she remarked, her gaze fixed on his lips. Ivy slowly slid her hands from his neck, "What did you prepare?" She asked Nicholas shook his head and pulled her back, his arms wrapped around her slender waist. "What is it?" Ivy giggled. A frown dropped on Nicholas's cheek, "I want to eat something else, he declared with a hint of sadness. "And what is that?" Ivy asked, returning her hands to his neck. Nicholas licked his lips once more, he pushed his head forward, Ivy didn't wait for him to take a further act, she locked her lips with his, hopping on him and wrapping her legs behind him. ★ ★ ★ "What do you mean by there being a launching ceremony? You never informed me about this!" Elvon's hoarse voice echoed in the large office. He stood up and flung the contents on the table. His current emotions were a mixture of anger, fear, and frustration. In front of the large desk, Austin stood head bowed, his hands folded in front. Elvon shut his eyes firmly, he took a long breath. "Who are the Langfords?" Elvon asked. "They are your clients," Austin responded, stuttering. Elvon dusted imaginary dirt off his turtleneck jumper, he folded his hand behind him and stepped away from the desk, taking a few steps towards Austin. Elvon scoffed, he bent to his level and moved his lips to his ear. His breath hit Austin's neck. Austin knew that his end had come; the thought alone made a chilly sensation run down his spine. "Are you forgetting something?" Elvon asked in a whisper, making Austin forcefully jerk back to reality. Elvon stood upright, a mischievous smile suddenly hung on his lips. "I am visually impaired. How am I supposed to recognize them?" Elvon screamed in his face. Austin staggered backward, his eyelids fluttering unusually due to fear. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. The door suddenly flung open and a lady in a white turtleneck jumper and suit skirt walked hastily towards where Elvon and Austin stood. "Wow! Alpha Elvon wore a similar dress today. Like we are couples", she exclaimed. "Don't you know the perfect time to pester your brother Ivan?" Elvon inquired, walking back to the large desk. "I wish I had been there for that," Ivan muttered under his breath. "They are here!" She announced, breathing heavily. "Ivan, you aren't helping", Austin grinned with hot stares. "Who are they you are referring to?" Elvon asked, his voice silencing the argument between the two siblings. Austin shut his mouth quickly. "The guests, they brought the launching ceremony here," Ivan said quickly. Elvon creased his brows, "Why would they bring it here without informing me beforehand? Besides, we aren't the host. What do they want to launch here?" Elvon spoke in a single breath. He was angry but his facial expressions explained something different. He was neither happy, sad, nor angered. Elvon licked his lower lips, shut his eyes, and took a deep breath, "It was James right?" He asked. Ivan shrugged her shoulders and took a glance at Austin, "Who is James?" She asked. The door swung open and a masculine voice echoed in the room, silencing their voices, "Hello! Am I missing a party?" An average-height, chubby middle-aged man walked in beaming with an evil smile. Elvon rolled his eyes and shook his head in disdain, he walked to Austin and stopped briefly, "No one must know that I am blind" Even though it came out like a whisper, this sentence still sounded like a command. Austin nodded his head. "When will you ever have some manners?" Elvon asked, this time aloud, and it was obviously to the middle-aged man. "That is James, they are both rivals" Austin whispered to Ivan. "I know, it is too obvious" Ivan snapped, watching Elvon as he ushered James out of the room. Immediately he stepped out of the room, pushed him purposely, and quickly rushed back in to lock the door. "You son of a b***h! Do you have a death wish!?" James sneered, hitting his palm consistently on the door. "I would have killed him. How could he bring the event here"Elvon muttered under his breath, wrapping his fist. "Alpha, I can help…" Austin declared as he walked towards him. Elvon waved his hand, "You have helped enough." ★ ★ ★ ★ An enormous chandelier hung in the large hall, just fifteen men were present; they were all dressed in black suits and trousers. They seemed at ease in the grandiose setting. Elvon stood still at the entrance, waiting for nothing in particular. Austin walked hastily towards him, he stretched his hand with a brief bow like a gentleman. Elvon shook his head and declined. It was then they noticed his arrival and diverted their stares towards him. "I am fine," Elvon responded with a feigned smile. He walked fully into the hall beaming with a smile, he looked exceptionally handsome in the gray suit and gray chinos. His eye color also adds to his incredible looks. James clapped his hands trying to get everyone's attention, "Alright, enough of the stares. We are men, why gossip and murmur among yourselves like you are women '' he said, his voice dominating the hall. There was an uproar in the hall and it became silent within a few minutes. "Elvon would like to introduce himself to you all by having a brief handshake with you all" James smirked, adjusting his suit. Elvon creased his brows. "What!? Is he insane!?" He screamed in his head. "He is blind, do not stress him" one of the guests whispered, and immediately there was murmuring again in the hall. James scoffed and rubbed his hand greedily. Elvon heaved a huge sigh, "All right, I will do it" He said The guests stared at his mouth agape as he walked proudly towards them. Immediately they stood uniformly in a long queue facing Elvon. Elvon stepped in front of the first man. He bit his lips and turned his neck, "Jeez! I don't know this scent" he yelled in his head. Elvon was aware that if they knew of his current state it would affect his business, and that would make James excited; That was his main aim and seemed like his top goal in life found Elvon down from riches to rags. It seemed like his plan was going perfectly. Elvon's lips were sealed and the guest had already given up saying that it was blind. Elvon shut his eyes. "He is truly visually impaired" "The rumors were true!" "Omg! This is hilarious. Who would ever partner a blind dude?" "That serves the proud peacock, it would have been better if he was lame too!" Elvon could audibly hear their ill thoughts. His end was seriously near.
