Chapter 1

Lucia's point of view
I gasp as my alarm clock wakes me up in the morning, I immediately grabbed it, and unfortunately, it falls off the floor causing a loud impact. Though it's severely damaged, it's still working.
I placed it on my study desk and opened my phone, there I figured out that I had a lot of missed calls from Phoenix.
Phoenix is a woman and a close friend of mine, her parents are just addicted to mythical creatures that's why her name sounds so unrealistic. We've been best of friends since childhood, and our parents are quite close.
I tried to contact her back as soon as possible, because I bet this is urgent, just like the other day. If it wasn't thanks to me, she would have a bad grade on one of her subjects because she forgot to do her project, that's why she cried for help.
Apparently, It was just ringing so I decided to stop calling and texted her if she has any problem, then I took a warm bath and prepared for school. It's still 7:03 am, 8 will be the start of our first subject, I'll meet her in school later so I guess that settled everything.
After 30 minutes of preparing, I arrived at school at exactly 7:35 am. Everything is fine and at ease. I greeted and smiled at the professors walking towards the corridor.
Being a college student is hundred percent exhausting, I wish I could graduate already and find a stable job. I'm still currently taking 4-year BS biology anyway, and hope one day I'll make myself proud.
Suddenly, Angelique came out of nowhere and grabbed me out of the school building. She was out of breath, that she needed to huff three times before speaking.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
This woman is a typical badass, she always curses around to any kind of situation, but now this is making me confuse.
"This is bad!"
"Huh? Why?"
Angelique angrily kicked the stone beside us and started to scream trying to let out all of her anger.
"Phoenix, that bastard!" she exclaimed.
"Why?!"
She stared at me for a moment and tried to calm herself down. Angelique let out a deep breath and last thing I knew her tears is starting to fall down.
"She's gone"
"She's dead?!" I asked her once again as soon as we both reached her condo.
"No" Angelique grab a book from her study desk and slam it down on the bed where I am sitting. "Remember when I told you about a book?"
"Book?"
"The Secrets of Hell"
I remembered that it was the time where we are in the school library.
"What about it?"
Angelique opened the book and showed me some of the pages.
"What is it? I don't understand it" I stated.
"Exactly" Angelique replied. "That's why I asked for Phoenix's help that time, yesterday evening she told me to come to her condo unit and everything happened right in front of my eyes!"
"What exactly happened Angelique?!"
"She vanished, she's gone!"
A minute of silence filled the four corners of her room, but then she let out a deep sigh and said.
"I know this is unbelievable, but we have to bring Phoenix back alive!"
Angelique grabs another book on her desk, and this time it was a mysterious type of book. It has no title or any other writings on the front page.
"This is the book she told me, that she got elsewhere, this was the only thing left when she vanished" she paused and looks at me. "You believe me right?"
To be honest, I don't know. This is all hundred percent unbelievable for me. About hell, secrets, Phoenix who's dead now? I didn't even get to confirm to Phoenix's parents! But Phoenix did not respond to my missed call earlier, its' almost an hour. It's her nature to call back by now.
Aside from that, the three of us had been friends since then. I just can't think Angelique is crazy.
"Believe me"
Angelique continued to open the book.
It was empty, but not until she draws something on it with her own blood.
"What are you doing?!" I exclaimed, I did not even realize she cut herself just because of this.
"This is what Phoenix did earlier!"
"What?!"
"Lucia Gravestone" Angelique gasp as she said my name.
"Find me in hell"
Those were the last words I heard when dark smoke suddenly exploded in front of us. I can't see anything because everything started to look pitch black and I can't even breathe properly.
What really is happening?!
