Just leave!
"How could you?" Ella yelled furiously at Sandra from behind.
Sandra pretended not to have noticed her. She kept on strolling across the boutique. Ella didn't need more proof to tell her that Sandra was behind the article issue.
Ella grabbed her arm and pulled her backwards which made Sandra groan. "Yes, Ella she deserves it," Karina hailed from behind as she watched Sandra still holding her arm in pain.
"What's all this and what're you talking about? Sandra acted surprised.
"Sandra enough of the pretence I saw you leave Letterrex company earlier today. How could you betray your boyfriend in such a manner?".
Sandra stood however with her arms folded. "You and I know that there is no way Alexander will buy that idea. He will never believe you because he trusts me a lot and he told you everything about his background".
"Hmm," Sandra sighed. "I pity you, Ella. You shouldn't have tried getting close to Alexander, look now he will despise you. Not knowing the truth that I heard everything from behind the door. Just wait and watch Ella Thompson" She giggled.
Katrina popped up "You have no shame. Am sure it is all because of his money that you are doing all this' ' She said looking disgusted.
Ella looked at Karina and pulled her back. To avoid her from picking a fight. Karina has never given peace to the wicked, she can fight anyone as long as it is protecting her best friend.
"Let's go, there is no point arguing with her. We need to let Alexander know about these before it is too late". Ella said as she made her way to the exit with Katrina.
*************
Ella and Katrina still stood outside the boutique boiling in anger. Katrina kept on staring at her worried friend. Who knows what will happen to the poor billionaire if his ugly background comes out open? He might lose his respect in society. She still couldn't believe he went through all this in his childhood, no wonder he was tough and cold. She faced Ella who was biting her fingertips.
"Ella, how did you know she was here?" Karina asked." I normally come here to buy clothes and she is a famous fashion designer, " Ella answered.
"What are you going to do now? Katrina kept on asking.
Ella didn't reply. She suddenly said, "Let's go and meet him in his office," Ella suggested. "Us?. Like you and me" She asked, pointing to herself.
"Don't tell me you won't accompany me there?" She said childishly.
"Alright, let's go," Katrina said as they set off.
In a few minutes, they arrived at Alexander's Company. Ella stopped, she felt Katrina was no longer following her. And she was right. Katrina was standing at the entrance staring heavily with her eyes wide open. The company was almost built with glasses. From the entry to the partitions. Ella stood there embarrassed, she looked around to check if someone was observing the showcase of a villager.
She noticed Ella darting seriously at her, and then she hastened her steps. They stopped at Alexander's office.
"Kat, I think you should wait outside okay? I will give you a signal if I need you" Ella requested.
"Sure, good luck and don't forget to tell me if there is a problem" She placed her hand on her shoulder and smiled.
Ella knocked tensely. She grabbed the doorknob, pushed the door open and walked in slowly.
Alexander smirked at seeing her. "What brings you to my office again? Miss Ella Thompson" He rested his elbow on the table.
Ella stood there bleakly. "I have something to tell you. Something very serious.
Alexander stood up furiously and walked closer to her. "Ella please, you don't need to do all these. Sandra told me everything on the phone but what I don't understand is why they act. You should have told me you wanted this for your press presentation, I would have considered it. But no, you dragged me into believing you felt concerned towards me". He said slightly, turning his face away.
Ella stood motionless. Alexander's words broke her into tears. She tried so hard to stop them from flowing down. For the first time, she felt evil in someone's eyes. There was no way Alexander would trust her again. She felt like sinking into the tiles.
"Just hear me out" Ella burst out. Her eyes turned red and she tried hard to explain herself.
"What's the point of that? I know Sandra too well and if she was lying, what is she going to achieve? She barely knows you" Alexander yelled at her.
Ella's heart painted so fast that she couldn't utter a word. Alexander was so disappointed.
He held her arms "Ella I trusted you, I felt peace when I was with you and I told you something I had kept a secret. If the press finds out, what will society say".
"Never! I won't let that happen, Alexander. I will try my best to stop it from happening" Ella added. "I know we don't know each other much but because you trust me I promise to stop it from happening" Ella assured him.
Ella knew his anger was justified. She knows the kind of person Sandra was. The first time they met was when she accused a customer of stealing a piece of jewel from her boutique just to get more payment from her.
And she was certain that this game was also for money.
Pointing to the door, Alexander pleaded grimly "Just leave! ".
Speaking more to him was a bad idea at that time. She saw the disappointment in his eyes. She dashed out of his office.
Katrina screamed, rushing to her "Ella, wait! ". She quickly turned back to look at Alexander who opened the door and stood like a puppy whose owner had left.
Katrina held Ella's hand "Ella tell me what happened," She asked nervously.
Ella cried out and hugged her uncontrollably.
"Why should you cry for him? Ella if you ask me I think you should leave them to their fate. Look at what your concern has gotten you into" Katrina sadly suggested as she patted her back calmly.
Ella lifted her head and wiped her face "Kat, what will he think of me" she sobbed.
Katrina was now furious. She lifted Ella's jaw "Let him think what he likes, who cares? I won't let them treat you that way".
"No Katrina, I'm not a coward. I will show him I am right and as for Sandra she is not going to try her games with me" She said confidently.
As they were about to leave Ella's phone rang.
