THE REJECTED HEIR

Adrian Vale was born into a family that ruled through blood, power, and ancient magic.

But instead of being treated as the heir he was meant to become, Adrian was rejected.

For years, he lived beneath the shadow of his powerful family, constantly reminded that he was not what they wanted. When a mysterious prophecy threatens the family’s future, Adrian becomes the easiest person to blame. His family turns against him, strips him of his place, and casts him away as though he never belonged.

Adrian leaves with nothing but anger, unanswered questions, and the painful knowledge that the people who were supposed to protect him were the ones who abandoned him.

But being rejected does not mean being powerless.

Far from his family, Adrian begins to experience strange changes within himself. A power buried deep inside his blood begins to awaken, revealing a connection to an ancient force that his family has spent generations trying to control.

The more Adrian learns, the more he realizes that his rejection was not an accident.

Someone wanted him gone.

Someone was afraid of what he might become.

And the truth about his family is far darker than he ever imagined.

While Adrian struggles to understand his awakening power, another secret begins to surface.

His family has another heir.

Lucian Vale, Adrian’s long-lost brother, has lived separated from the family and hidden from the world. Intelligent, disciplined, and fiercely loyal, Lucian has spent years trying to understand why his own existence was concealed.

When the two brothers finally discover the truth about each other, neither knows whether they can trust the other.

They have been raised apart.

They have been manipulated by different people.

And both have been connected to the same prophecy.

At first, Adrian believes Lucian may be another enemy sent to stop him. Lucian, meanwhile, struggles with the truth about the family that kept him hidden.

But as powerful enemies begin moving against them, the brothers are forced to look beyond their differences.

The prophecy that destroyed Adrian's place in the family is only the beginning.

Ancient powers are awakening.

Enemies who have remained hidden for generations are stepping out of the shadows.

And the supernatural bloodline of the Vale family is connected to something far more dangerous than either brother expected.

Adrian must learn to control the power inside him before it consumes him. He must also decide whether revenge is worth sacrificing everything he has left.

Lucian must uncover why he was hidden, who manipulated the prophecy, and what his true role in the family really is.

Together, the brothers begin uncovering secrets that could change the balance of power forever.

But trust will not come easily.

Every answer creates another question.

Every victory reveals another enemy.

And the people who rejected Adrian are beginning to realize that the heir they cast away may have become the greatest threat they have ever created.

Adrian no longer wants their approval.

He wants the truth.

He wants to understand his bloodline.

And when the time comes, he intends to decide his own destiny.

The family that once called him worthless will soon discover that rejection can create something far more dangerous than obedience.

Because Adrian Vale was never meant to disappear.

He was meant to return.

And when the rejected heir finally comes back, the entire supernatural world will learn why his family was so afraid of him in the first place.

Chapter 1: The Night They Rejected Me
The night they rejected Adrian Vale was the night the entire kingdom learned his name. Not because he was the heir. But because he was the heir they wanted everyone to forget. Rain hammered against the black stone walls of the Vale estate as Adrian stood alone in the center of the ancestral hall. Hundreds of candles burned around him, their flames trembling whenever thunder shook the ancient windows. Every member of the family was watching him. His father sat at the head of the long table. His relatives stood behind him. The elders remained silent beneath the portraits of generations of Vale rulers. And none of them looked at Adrian with love. They looked at him as if he were a mistake. Adrian slowly lifted his head. “Say it again.” His father's expression remained cold. “You are no longer recognized as the heir of House Vale.” The words struck harder than Adrian expected. For twenty-two years, he had carried the weight of that name. He had trained when others slept. He had studied the family laws, learned the history of their bloodline, and endured every lesson forced upon him because one day he was supposed to inherit everything. Now his father was taking it away with a single sentence. Adrian clenched his fists. “Why?” Nobody answered. Then one of the elders stepped forward. “Because the bloodline has spoken.” A strange murmur passed through the hall. Adrian frowned. “What does that mean?” The elder looked at him with something dangerously close to fear. “It means the power you were supposed to inherit has rejected you.” Adrian's heart tightened. “That isn't possible.” His father finally stood. “You were tested tonight.” Adrian looked toward the ancient stone altar behind the family table. The bloodstone. For generations, every recognized heir of House Vale had placed a hand upon it and awakened the power of their ancestors. Adrian had known the ceremony would determine his future. He had expected the stone to glow. Instead, it had remained completely black. Not even a spark. His father walked toward him. “You have failed the final test.” Adrian stared at him. “So that's it?” His father stopped in front of him. “You were given every opportunity.” “I am your son.” A silence followed. Then his father said the words Adrian would remember for the rest of his life. “Tonight, you are nothing to this family.” The hall went completely silent. Adrian felt something inside him c***k. He wanted to shout. He wanted to demand another test. He wanted someone—anyone—to tell them they were wrong. Instead, he simply looked at the people he had spent his entire life trying to make proud. Not one of them stepped forward. Not one defended him. Then the bloodstone behind him made a sound. Crack. Everyone froze. Adrian slowly turned. A thin line of red light appeared across the black stone. The elders backed away. “What is happening?” someone whispered. Another c***k spread across the altar. Then the entire hall shook. Adrian's chest suddenly burned. He dropped to one knee, struggling to breathe. Something was moving beneath his skin. Something ancient. Something awake. His father's face changed. For the first time that night, Adrian saw fear in his eyes. “Get him out of here.” Adrian looked up. “Father?” “Now!” Guards rushed toward him. Adrian tried to stand, but a violent wave of energy exploded from his body. The candles went out. The windows shattered. And every person in the ancestral hall fell silent. When the darkness disappeared, Adrian was still standing. His eyes had changed. A faint silver glow burned within them. The bloodstone behind him was no longer black. It was glowing. Brightly. The eldest member of the family stared at Adrian as though he had seen a ghost. “No…” Adrian heard the old man's trembling voice. “What?” The elder took a step backward. “That power…” He looked at Adrian's father. “You said the first heir was dead.” Adrian's blood ran cold. “What first heir?” Nobody answered. Before Adrian could ask again, the doors of the hall burst open. A messenger stumbled inside, soaked by the rain. “My lord!” Everyone turned. The messenger dropped to his knees. “We found him.” Adrian's father went pale. “Found who?” The messenger looked directly at Adrian. “The missing heir.” Adrian stopped breathing. The room became completely silent. Then the messenger whispered: “Lucian Vale has returned.” And for the first time in twenty-two years, Adrian realized something terrifying. Perhaps he had never been rejected because he was powerless. Perhaps he had been rejected because someone was afraid of what would happen if the two heirs ever met.
