Chapter 8: SHOCK Factor!

“That went well,” Injectro approached me. “Is it dead?” Together with her were Yammer, Unaware, and Qualm, Injectro examined the corpse. “You destroyed him,” Yue the Yammer cheerful rejoiced as the threatening beast was destroyed. “Its own aura and existence disappeared with it.” Unaware was shaking with excitement. “Does this mean we’re safe already?” I tossed the body away, “Let’s leave… I no longer have any obligation here.” “So you reverted back to your Lifebringer form. You know, having that long blue-green hair doesn’t and those small constricted eyes don’t suit you,” Injectro bit her tongue seemingly flirting with me. “I liked your Destiny Seeker form better.” “My DS form only involved me having a monstrous left hand and deep blue eyes… irises and pupils…” I sighed. “I was always wondering why your Lifebringer form only is also your human form plus that skull and wings thing above your chest…” “I like it. It’s simple,” she turned around. “Shall we leave then?” “Yeah, I’m still working…” “You consider this thing a work?” Injectro looked dissatisfied. Qualm looked at the body and its remains, “Should we just leave the body there? What if it regenerated back to life?” Injectro raised her hand above. As soon as she did this, an enormous energy started to manifest, “Alright, let me just destroy it with this.” “Look away women from the light women,” I turned away, “you might not want to get blinded…” “Ah! Yes!” Yue turned away and also covered her eyes just in case. Czarina the Injectro, who wasn’t affected by her own power, grinned from ear to ear, “Get blasted into oblivion!” The girls followed my orders and as soon as they turned away, a powerful explosion occurred… so powerful that it would actually cause blindness to all those who would be looking at its direction. As it exploded, I fired up a portal for all of us to leave. “Let’s go… I still have work to do…” As soon as I entered, the women followed. There was no point in being a gentleman here for me. In fact, I was disappointed because it seemed like the battle between Mr. X and Suoic Ipsus ended in a draw because of some interruption. I really hoped that I stayed to watch the fight go smoothly, but I was satisfied with my results. As soon as the portal closed, however, I caught a glimpsed of a group of individuals from the other side… a group of scary individuals… Before I could even react, the portal to the other side closed. They even hid their aura like they just wanted me to notice them not the others… “What’s wrong, F’lux?” Injectro looked at my shocked face. “He’s alive,” I tried to open back the portal to Xenophobia’s domain but it seemed like I can’t get access to it anymore. “How could he have survived?” “What do you mean he’s alive master?” Qualm looked worried, “Mistress Czarina blasted the remains into nothingness…” “Yeah, there’s no way he could’ve regenerated back,” Unaware was trying to reassure herself. “There’s no way, right?” “I caught a glimpsed of him, I’m not sure, and a couple of others… before the portal closed,” I clenched my fists tight. “Were they watching us the entire time?” “It seems like his domain can’t be accessed now,” Injectro tried to fire up a portal as well… “that’s concerning…” Yue looked at me with an anxious look to her face, “What’s going to happen to us now?” Back within Xenophobia’s domain… [3rd person POV] “It looks like my favorite doll has been destroyed,” the stranger with yellow eyes felt disappointed. I really thought that this creation of my could even best me as its creator but I was wrong…” “Don’t make me laugh,” another Destiny Seeker appeared behind him. “I could even destroy it, if I were to fight it.” It seemed like the stranger had other Destiny Seeker following him around. Aside from the one who talked, there were two others, another male and a female. All of them, except for the stranger, wore religious clothes… two who looked like priests or bishops and one looked like a nun. The two males had each a pair of long horns while the female had a pair of short horns. The males who talked had dark brown furs, with large round eyes, and with the longer movable horns that acted like antennae wearing two golden rings each while the other male had lighter furs, long immovable bull-like horns with a golden ring around each of them, three golden stones evenly attached in between his forehead, with the biggest stone at the lower forehead and the smallest one at the upper forehead, his eyes looked human although his face looked like a bull preparing to charge at any moment. The female looked nothing like a bull and looked more like a demon wearing a purple nun-like robes. She had pale white skin, eyeballs pitch-black over white round irises, black lines starting from her eyelids lining down to her small mouth. She didn’t have any nose at all and she never speaks. Her name is Obse. The stranger looked like a stereotypical scientist with a spiky yellow-green hair that protrude around opposite ends while the top part was bald. He wore a white lab coat underneath his green robes, accompanied with red line markings. He wore brown pants and black leather shoes. “I don’t think you could destroy it. If you could even destroy it… you shouldn’t be following me around, Mania.” The stranger sighed at the darker male. “Don’t get me wrong, I have all the freedom to say that I am the strongest Destiny Seeker ever created.” Mania felt disheartened to hear those words coming the stranger’s mouth. “But that human though, that weirdo,” Nurose, the lighter male, scanned the entire room. “Even that Injectro, and the appearance of Old man Warden together with those who proclaimed themselves as Emissaries of Balance…” “What about them?” the stranger turned his attention towards the blasted site. “I don’t give a damn about Weirdo… a human who was turned into a god against his will. He was misfortunate enough to have the curse of becoming like one of us.” “What do you mean about being a curse?” Mania glared at the stranger, “Being a Destiny Seeker is a privilege!” “To us, yes,” the stranger fired up a portal, “but to him it wasn’t a privilege at all…” “What do you mean by that? This is why I don’t like a lowly human becoming someone like us…” Mania gritted his teeth. “I looked into his life out of curiosity… curiosity as to why Lord Exyd chose him as replacement to Old man Warden. Do you know what I found out?” “Tell me…” said Mania. “That human only wished for success but was very ill-fated.” As all of them entered the portal, the stranger continued… “He even wished for death to come to him for he didn’t want to commit suicide thinking that it wasn’t a noble act. He wished to die naturally or be killed by someone else, but that wasn’t the case for he was never given a chance to die. Instead, he was turned into a god who always yearned for success and always looked for someone who could defeat and killed him.” “Then we should’ve killed him earlier,” Nurose sighed. “We had a lot of chance to do it but now it is too late! He’s become more powerful ever since he was taken by the Supreme Being of Life, Lady Naxo!” “Which is why he felt more unfortunate. He was given two forms of godship, a doomed fate and a life that would seem to never end. I heard that Lifebringers would have to be destroyed twice before disappearing… thrice or four times in his case I presume.” “Why must he be destroyed that many?!” Mania clenched his fists in rage. “Kill the human part, destroy the Destiny Seeker part, and destroy the Lifebringer parts twice,” the stranger took his seat. “That is presumably his human part is still a part of him.” “I don’t think he wanted to die or get killed,” Nurose disagreed with the presumption. “I don’t believe that someone who wanted to die so badly would protect his own life!” “Because he wanted to win… to achieve victory is to achieve success… success that he never had. Let us put in numbers, his yearning for success has a value of about 100 while his yearning for death because of his misfortune is valued a few points below 100. Something within the range of 99.999999 to 95 of that value.” “s**t…” Mania sat down disgruntled, “What a weirdo…” “Indeed,” Nurose sighed. “So what are your plans, Xavier?” “Xavier is just the name of the monster I created,” the stranger sighed. “How many times do I need to tell you that? Ah… the plan is to stay alive and stay hidden until the opportune moment. We still have those Emissaries lurking around and Old man Warden manning the operation. For now, let the factions worry about this matter…” Back at Balance HQ… [Present Time] Ugh… I’m back at the headquarters… [Mr. X’s POV] It seems like I was taken here in the clinic when I passed out after entering the god state… Some of the beds, seemed to be occupied as well… Of course, my two comrades are among the sleep… Who else could be there? I need to stand up… thankfully I’m not yet naked… As I took a look at the others in the clinic… “Mr. S is here… also unconscious…” “It seems like you were the first one to wake up,” Ms. M, who is in charge on taking care of us, checks up on me. “You woke up too early… or maybe it’s just your luck.” “What do you mean I woke up early?” “Listen, you might be in for a shock but,” Ms. M fixes the curtains in the room, “you’ve been asleep for three weeks.” “… … … … … Excuse me?” I feel the need to clean my ears again wanting to hear it one more time, “Did I hear you wrong?” “No, you heard me right,” she leads me out of the clinic. “Alpha Boss messed up with our god mode. He did not account for the repercussions of being in that state to our mortal bodies. At least, only a few of you used it…” “Tell me everything that happened during the time that I was asleep, please…” “Follow me at the Reception area and I’ll fill you in on the details,” she politely leads me to the Registrar Office with her. After you fell unconscious due to the massive amount of power that burst out from your human body, Alpha Boss decided to cancel the all-out raid. After all, we were able to imprison a number of Destiny Seekers with your combined efforts… [Flashback Sequence] [Three Weeks Ago] [Ms. M’s POV] “Good evening, my name is Ms. M and I am the Registrar, Receptionist, and Representative of the Emissaries of Balance.” “You seemed unfazed,” Violence, inside his own crystal cell, approached the edge of the glass to get a view of me seated down on my chair. “Aren’t you afraid of me, mortal female?” Bringing out my mystical notepad that appeared directly from my hands with the use of my Blessing, The Registrar, I prepared to conduct a thorough profiling of the captured Destiny Seeker. “Fear is an emotion expressed when something frightening or worrisome is felt,” I sat comfortably in front of the beast without showing any sign or form of fear like fidgeting or feeling unnerved. “I do not fear you, for you are captured, restrained, and imprisoned inside of that Crystal Cell made especially for the likes of you.” “How foolish!” he exclaimed as he slammed his claw in the glass causing no damage at all, not even causing any vibration. “Violence, Destiny Seeker, exhibits signs of extreme pride towards his superiority as a god leading him to cause destructive tantrums when a defiant being is able to tolerate his childish tactics.” I started taking down notes while subliminally making him feel feeble and pathetic which would just anger him more… to my advantage as someone who conducted the interview. “His raw hatred is caused by being captured by the inferior beings he detest and play around when he was roaming free and seeking destinies to mess with.” “ENOUGH!” “Have I gotten your full attention?” I stood up and approached the cell. Instead of asking questions, I proceeded to make a full description from what I see and what he is showing. “Destiny Seekers are known for their invertebrate-like appearance resembling that of the arthropods, helminths, and mollusks as great examples while also having minimal traits of vertebrates especially of the reptilian and the amphibians. Violence resembles that of an armored beetle with evidence bioluminescence because of the iridescent glow.” The monster started listening as he checked out his own body appearance shifting his interests towards the description that I was currently providing about his general profile. “Metamorphosis is the main power source of this Destiny Seekers, highly different from our own power source called Blessing. As such their power source is what makes them appear what they are and it also makes up the origin of their power as Destiny Seekers.” While I spoke, the notepad continued to write on its own… Having the power of Registry allowed me to develop complex knowledge to analyze and input a lot of important data that made me who I am as Ms. M. It allowed me to sort out significant past details to be passed on to Lil Miss E the Archives Provider, and current progressive issues that must be addressed which I cannot solve that I passed on to Sir F the Information Broker. “You, Violence, have the power to affect the minds of mortals causing them to act out their selfish desires of violence… call it instinct, am I wrong?” The monster shook his head, “No, you’re correct…” “In addition, you are able to… enter or burrow into the human soul like a parasite… consuming it as it act out the way you wanted it to act in the process… until your host is dead.” I continued to make some input, “With your presence gone, those kinds of heinous acts would lessen promoting balance to the mortal race of humans and advanced-humans alike. You don’t look convinced…” “Of course I am not convinced,” Violence smirked. “Even without my presence, humans are weak and vulnerable beings that are easily manipulated… and even without me, they will still act out their selfish desires. Of course, I’m not the only Destiny Seeker out there.” “We have recently captured three more and they were in a very rough shape.” “WHO?!” Violence exhibited agitation within his cage, “TELL ME WOMAN, WHO WERE CAPTURED?!” “Fixa the one that resembled an octopus, Judi the squid… perhaps or a jellyfish with face… I don’t understand his appearance, and Egot the worm hiding under a rocky head-like shell.” “That is highly impossible for them to easily be thwarted,” Violence looked bedazzled. “How were they taken all out together?!” “The Emissaries received help in the form a betrayal within your race, the Destiny Seeker went by the name the Weirdo…” “That’s no surprise…” Violence struck the crystal glass he was encapsulated in a couple of times as powerful as he can hit. “THAT LOWLY-HUMAN HYBRID HAS FINALLY SHOWN HIS TRUE COLORS!” “He had an accomplice,” I gave him the bone-chilling revelation that he and I never saw coming. “The other Destiny Seeker was called Czarina…” “No…” he metamorphosed into his human form and knelt on the crystal floor distraught and discouraged. “Who is Czarina?” “My older sister…”
