Necklace

Mandy’s Pov “Rise and shine, sunshine.” Maggie tried to grab the blanket, but I pulled it off. I opened the curtains and the bright sun shines into the room, making her groan even more. I giggled, looking at her. She looks like s**t. I knew she was going to feel like this today. “Can I pour you a drink?” I joke when she raises her eyebrows. “One drink?” I showed her the bottle. “Please take that away.” she closed her face with the blanket. “How come I feel like this, but it was your birthday party?” I just smiled. If Dylan hadn't been showing up at the club last night, I would’ve probably felt worse than what Maggie is feeling right now. “Why do you have a bandage on your arm? Did you hurt yourself?” Maggie asked, trying to grab my arm to look at it, but I jerked away. She looked at me suspiciously. “I burned it with my straightener. Nothing serious.” I lied and poured us coffee. She pulled her face into a satisfied mood and my shoulders relaxed. I would’ve never been able to explain a bite mark without telling her the truth, and she would’ve probably laughed at me thinking I was crazy. “So, do you want breakfast, or are we going out for breakfast?” I asked, and she laid her face flat on the counter. “Oh common, it’s not my fault you feel like shit.” “Actually, it is. It was your birthday party.” I laughed and dragged her off from the chair. “Get your ass into a shower. I will borrow you some clothes, then we’re going to the mall.” I pulled her to my bedroom as she sigh. “A hot shower will make you feel fresh again.” I smiled and gave her a clean towel and some clothes. I can hear from behind the closed door how she moans. I made my bed still having a smile on my face until my body turned my eyes cold. I spun around, with Dylan pushing me against the wall. “What are you doing here? You know Maggie is in the shower right there.” I showed my hand to the closed door. “I know, but I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I had to see you, feel you.” he pressed his face into my neck and started to kiss every vein and bone on my neck. My mind is no longer in charge. The more he sucks, the more I go into a different world, a world where addiction has no escape. At this moment, I don’t even care if Maggie walks out of the bathroom and catches me with a strange man. “Wait, we have to stop.” but he doesn’t stop. He pulled my pyjama top up till my breast showed. He grabbed my wrist and picked me up with my hands above my head. I want to fight him back, but I can’t. It’s like the drug entered my system again, and there is no dozing off from it soon. I’m mesmerized by his brown eyes and hope he doesn’t turn yellow. I want to feel like this without feeling like I need to feel like this. “Dylan, please,” I begged him to stop, not that I wanted to stop, but Mike doesn't deserve this. My breathing doesn’t slow down. Instead, it picked up when he grabbed me closer and kissed me softly on my lips. “I know I’m putting you in danger, but I need you. My body is addicted to yours.” he breathes into my mouth. “I know you feel the same, you don’t have to admit it, I can pick up the adrenaline your feeling right now, your pulse is racing and your breathing can’t slow down.” He’s right, but I can’t admit it. That’s worse than cheating on a person that's loving you. Admitting to someone else that he makes you feel alive, even though he is dangerous and can kill you in a second. It’s such a strange feeling, loving someone and wanting someone else so badly. How do you even explain that? How do you even know how to deal with such feelings? “Mandy?” Maggie calls from the bathroom, and Dylan disappeared in front of me like a gush of wind. “Mandy?” she calls again. “Yeah, coming.” I had to catch my breath first. The prominent feeling doesn’t wear off and I feel like I’m about to pass out. “Mandy?” she calls again. I opened the bathroom door, and the pants looked like they were about to tear. “Seriously?” she frowns. I burst out in laughter. “There should be pants in my closet. Just give me a second.” I closed the door again, my pulse still racing and the strange butterfly feeling inside my stomach still hadn’t vanished. *you’re my human* I heard the voice again, sending a shiver down my spine. “Hurry up,” Maggie shouts from the bathroom. I opened my closet to find a necklace with a werewolf gravel attached to it with a card *your mine forever, happy birthday* the words say. My heart sinks to my feet. “What the hell?” Maggie opened the door and saw me with the necklace in my hand. “Oh wow, who would’ve thought Mike could be so romantic, but why the werewolf stone?” I pulled up my shoulders and played dumb. I didn’t think he knew it was my birthday. I can’t remember him wishing me a happy birthday last night. “Can you stop staring at the necklace? and drool all over it. I’m sure you will have the time to thank him properly.” She smiled an evil smile. “ OK, here are pants that should fit.” I looked at the necklace one more time before I placed it back in my closet.
