Watching Edward act like that with Brenda hurt me, thinking that he loved before me was not what hurt. It was the pain in his voice, I didn’t know whether he was acting or not. Not until her stopped, bowed and turned around and started walking towards me.
The bow was a nice touch and made me and Emma snicker a bit. While he was hugging me, Emma healed the injury to his knee and that meant that he was able to fight again.
The fight broke out quickly but was over just as quickly.
“How?” I ask as we escort Brenda to the interview room while her men are taken to the dungeons.
“Because we are amazing and powerful. And we have two goddesses on our side. Who would want to take us on?” Edward jokes with me.
“But I am serious, how was that fight over so quickly?” I ask confounded.
