CHAPTER 4Jarin wondered about his companion as they walked back through the misty rain to Henrick's Hut, the name they now both used for the building. It seemed more than just a place to shelter now. With the notes in the old exercise book, the surroundings and he had to admit Alina's company it almost offered a sanctuary from the outside world. They reached the veranda and took off the old oilskins to find that both of them had dry clothes beneath. Alina grinned. "I'll get the wood stove lit. With the embers it should soon start then what do you think I'm going to do?" "Have a shower to warm up?' Alina laughed. "Later perhaps but I'm going to make us a batch of scones." "How?" "Henrick has all the ingredients for cooking, even powered milk and eggs then I'm going to tidy the hut."
