Chapter 13 Luis regretted his big breakfast before they even got off the ground. They’d returned to the same transit zone where he and Tegwin arrived, but none of the big, smooth official shuttles waited for them. Ben walked toward a tiny model, with four cramped seats up front and an open, flat cargo bed in the back. “How far is the mine?” Luis said, his jaws already aching. “Can we get there another way?” “Not unless you want to hike for about three days up the mountain.” Ben stood with his hand on the roof of the shuttle.
