POV Caius
I was frustrated to my core. I don’t lose my cool, I’m calm and collected, but for some damn reason it was killing me not knowing what she was. When I heard the knock on the door, I almost lost it.
“Who is it?” I yelled out in frustration.
“It’s Ivan sir, two of our warriors brought in a demon sir, but both of them are pretty beaten up as well.” He said through the door.
I gave a heavy sigh and let go of Ariel’s hands. I walked to my closet and changed into my black jeans and a tight black shirt.
I turned around to see that she had moved to the bed to pick up the red material. She held out her hands for me to wrap them. Unbelievable, never in my life did I have a prisoner comply like this. It was kind of irritating, like I wanted her to resist. I walked over to her and wrapped her hands again when she said,
“Just promise me you’ll let me know when you hear from Rebecca.” Silently, I wrapped her hands together and finally called out for Rafael.
“Rafael! You can take her back to the sell.” When I dropped her hands, the neon colour of her eyes faded away and I stared into the ice-cold blue colour of her eyes. Her skin was pale and looked like it was carved out of marble. So beautiful, and I was so close to her.
Now I must deal with my people. I walked down the hallway and knocked on a few of my men’s doors; Ajax, Markus, Luke, and Nick’s. They all followed me to the end of the hall.
“Listen, we have two injured warriors in the hospital wing and a demon that needs to be tamed and questioned.” Ivan came running up the stairs and what he said nearly made my heart drop.
“We detained the demon in the glass sell with the other prisoner.” He said out of breath. The glass sell was built by the same angels that forged our weapons. It was made specially to keep demons out as well as to keep them in.
With a worried look, I locked eyes with Ajax. No one knows about her, and they would treat her the same way as they would the demon.
“Markus, Nick, check on the warriors in the hospital wing, Luke, and Nick, send word to England Capital, we’ve managed to capture a demon. Ajax, you’re with me!”
Ajax and I walked downstairs with a bit of a haste to get to the glass sell. When we got there, the demon was strapped to a chair and growling like crazy, he seemed desperate to get to Ariel. On the other side of the sell Ariel sat in a chair staring at the demon. Her face looked focused, not breaking eye contact, looking at the squirming demon in the other chair. What the hell is going on in there? Rafael looked calm as usual, but he was focused on her. I rushed over to him and demanded,
“What’s happening?” He finally broke his gaze away and spoke.
“I have no idea; he came in with the two warriors and as soon as he saw her, he started to freak out and yelled. He’s either trying to get away from her or desperately trying to kill her. But she doesn’t seem fazed by this.”
