"I had never seen his face. The only thing he allowed me to remember was the sinister voice that sent shivers all over my body. It was cold and demanding, relentless. Every time - there had been three - when the guard took me to see him, I started to tremble in fear. I just never knew whether his patience had run out. Whether he had decided to put an end to me..."
Although it had been years, she still saw the nightmares and the memories came rushing back. Rachel is a promising young research assistant at a university who tries her best to let go of the past. But ever since those faithful months when she was kidn*pped and held as prisoner by an unknown vicious man, she has not been able to get a good night sleep. Every night she relives that time there and reluctantly ponders over the same questions: Why was she taken? Was her only friend in that forsaken place still alive? Who was the man who like the cruellest of demons tried to get into her head for reasons unknown? And lastly - why all of a sudden was she let go to live her life like nothing had happened?
One day, she thinks she sees the Demon again and slowly all the questions begin to answer themselves, revealing the most unexpected and horrible truth, leaving Rachel battling an inner struggle between her conscience and her heart's desire.
