Jade’s POV The next morning, i woke up with a clear mind. I had decided what should be done. Sighing, i got out of bed went into the bathroom to do my morning routine. My mind was set and there was no going back. Entering the sitting- room, I heard voices. Getting to the door I heard grandma speaking with someone but I couldn't place the voice. I coughed a little to gain their attention. “Oh sweetie. Good morning”. Gtandma greeted me. “Morning Gramdma”. I replied to her with a smile. Come sit. She said and I obediently walked towards them and sat down beside her. “Mr Wayne couldn't make it so he sent his PA Mr Gteg”. She explained. “Good morning” . I greeted MrGreg with a smile. Mr Greg looks like he is in his early thirties. I could tell he was 6 feet elevated, maybe more. Even as he was seated. I was an ant beside him. He is rather handsome if you ask me. He was wearing a blue tuxedo which complimented his ocean blue eyes. He was lean and had a broad chest . In summary, he was perfect. “Good morning”. He said with a smirk. Great he caught me staring at him I thought as I blushed in embarrassment. “Okay this is the document you have to sign”. He said and brought out a file from his case. I stretched my hand and took it from him. The content of the document read; ‘An agreement between Mr Greyson Jared Wayne and Miss Jade Ragina Stones. This is to show that both parties have agreed to abide by the terms of the agreement between Mr Fedrick Stones and Mr Derick Wayne. And as such, can receive the previllegea attached to the agreement.’ There were two empty places that required signature . One was meant for me and the other for Greyson. He didn't even sign the damn thing if he thinks he's the only one forced into this silly marriage then he thought wrong. His father couldn't even get him to sign the damn piece of paper. Standing up furiously I place the paper on the table. “I'm not signing”. “What do you mean you're not signing?” Grandma asked me standing up as well. Ignoring her, I directed my attention to Mr Greg. “You can go back to your boss and tell him I'm not signing this damn thing. The agreement he made with my grandfather can go to hell for all I care. I spat bitterly at Mr Greg. Poor man probably thinking what he had to do with any of this. Well, in my defence he was representing Mr Wayne so....... Nodding Mr Greg stood up and took the paper from the table. “Hope to see you again Jade”. He said and proceeded to leave the house. With Mr Greg gone I directed my attention to grandma. “I can't believe this. You actually want me to sign that?” “It doesn't matter what I want. What choice do we have, Jade? Huh... You tell me it's either you sign it or you lose everything that your grandfather and father worked for”. “At the detriment of my happiness? I asked “You can't tell till you're married to him”. “That's a risk I'm not willing to take. Besides, it's pretty obvious he doesn't give a s**t. He hasn't even signed it”. “You may have a point but let me ask you this. Has your grandfather ever disappointed you before? Have you ever had a reason to doubt him? She asked, capturing me with her eyes. “Well, there's a first time for everything. I said looking her square in the eyes. “I don't know why Fredrick did this but I'm sure he had the best intentions”. With that said she left. .............. Later that day, grandma went out to visit an old friend of hers. I was home alone and in an attempt to rid myself of the thoughts and confusion, I decided to watch a Netflix show. I was debating The Umbrella Academy or The Witcher but finally settled for the latter. Netflix shows have a way of easing my stress a few minutes into it and I forget everything around me. I mean seriously my house could be on fire and I wouldn't even notice. That's how obsessed I'm with Netflix. Few minutes into the movie there was a knock on the door. Grandma is back quickly I thought as I stood to open the door except the person who stood in front of me wasn't grandma. Standing there was a man a very fine one at that.Tall,at least 6'4", maybe taller, trim build, not overly muscular.Jet black hair bright blue eyes strong jaw romanesque nose......I stoped eye r****g him when I noticed the scowl on his face. Disgust and distaste dripping off his face at the sight of me. I take it back he's an asshole. “Who are you and what do you.... before I could finish asking, the asshole pushed the door wide open and stepped in brushing my shoulder in the process. “Look here Mr douche-bag you can't just enter people's houses uninvited. I said feeling the anger rage within me. The douch— bag simply ignored me and went straight to the sitting-room. I on the other hand stayed close to the door in case I had to run. “Sign this”. The hot guy... sorry the asshole/ Douche bag said. Oh my God his voice is so sweet like music to the ears he must be an angel. His voice was so smooth, full of authority and grace. ‘Focus Jade. Angels aren't assholes, my inner self said. Then he must be a fallen angel, I mentally retorted. “I said come over here and sign this. He repeated, jolting me from my thoughts. It was then I noticed he was holding a paper out for me to take. Walking towards him, rather slowly, I took the paper and saw it was the same paper Mr Greg brought this morning. Taking a clearer look at the paper I saw the column for Greyson was already signed. Well, his luck. “Look Mr I already told Greg I wasn't going to sign. So you can go back to Mr Wayne and tell him my mind is already made up. Sending hot men..... I mean assholes to me wouldn't change it”. Judging from the smirk on douche -bags face he caught my mistake. What a jerk. “Oh princess you will sign. Douche- bag said with so much authority making my blood boil. Who the hell is this asshole? “Or what? I snapped. I'm sorry you had to drive all the way here but I won't sign it. I said raising my chin to meet his gaze. Dame this dude is tall. “Yes you will princess. Because come next week like it or not you will be Mrs Greyson Wayne. With or without your signature. I will be back for this tomorrow he said, placing the paper on the table and left. What an ASS. .............. By the time grandma .came back it was evening. I was still in the sitting-room enjoying my movie when she came. I debated on telling her about the visit earlier but decided against it. I was grown enough to handle myself and besides she already has too much on her plate. After completing the entire season, I retired to bed. I was just about to turn off my phone when I got a notification from a blog I subscribed to gistwithtiti.blogspot.com. The headline read; "New York's billionaire Mr Greyson Wayne caught locking hands with popular Broadway model and TV presenter Miss Andrea Scott". "The pair were seen leaving Rainbow Room hand in hand. It is believed that she's Miss lucky as Mr Greyson hasn't been seen in public with a woman in a very long time. Wedding bells might ring soon". I scoffed at the last part. Right. At least thank God he has found himself a wife now I can be free. Although the name Andrea sounded familiar, I wasn't sure where I heard it. My thoughts came to a halt when I saw the picture at the end of the article. It wasn't the picture of the girl that caught my attention. No it was his eyes. Those eyes, ones I could never forget were staring back at me capturing my very soul. Those eyes I stared right into holding a promise that this wasn't over. ..................
