Princess of Yu's Family

Lisa is back from school walks to the couch and lies down. "Ahh. I'm tired. I thought I was sick. My body was sore and my head was dizzy." Ace and Michael were in the living room. Michael was working with his laptop as Ace was reading a book. At the sight of Lisa lying down on the couch, Ace instantly comes by her side to feel her forehead. "Where is Dad, Ace?" "He's in a meeting right now, it will probably take another hour or so." "Look at my forehead! It's burning, right?" Lisa put her hand on her forehead. Ace takes out his thermometer and puts it on Lisa's forehead. "Yeah, you got a fever. Probably a virus, you shouldn't be this sweaty either. How's your stomach, is it upset?" Lisa nods and holds her stomach. "It seems that at school, I snack carelessly.." Ace takes a small medicine bottle from his pocket and pours a capsule into a glass of water, then hands it to Lisa. "Drink this, Lisa. You need to rest until Dad comes back and takes more medicine until your temperature goes down. If it gets any higher, I'll give you a few pills, okay?" She drank what her brother gave her and lay back down on the sofa. In the meantime, Michael got some clothes for Lisa so that the uniform could be changed into something warm. Lisa felt her fever slowly decreasing and her stomach started to calm down. Once she was wearing comfortable clothes, she laid back on the couch again and looked at the ceiling with her eyes closed while trying to fall asleep. Ace was reading his book, but now and then, he would take his eyes off the book to look at the girl next to him. An hour later, her dad came back. He saw what was going on and asked the boys about her condition, then he sat next to her and checked her forehead again. When he was satisfied that she was getting better, he went to prepare hot soup for his sick girl. The two boys followed him into the kitchen. The two brothers watched their dad prepare the soup and suddenly their eyes met. At the same moment, they both had the same thought: "We should also take care of our little sister." And without saying a word, they took their father's place and helped him prepare the soup for Lisa. When the soup was ready, they brought it to Lisa's room. Michael placed her on the bed, placing a blanket on top of her, and then he left the room. Ace sat beside the bed to monitor his little sister's condition and kept her company. His sister slept peacefully and was soon overcome by fatigue and exhaustion. She dreamed that she was being caressed by the hands of someone else, she didn't know who it was. "Mom.." She mumbles to her mom. From where he sat, Ace was listening carefully to what his little sister was saying. He could only see her lips moving but didn't hear the words coming from her mouth. He stood up, went closer to her, and asked her softly. "Did you say something? Do you want anything, Lisa?" "Mom?" She mumbles to her mom again, she feels like her mom smiles at her in a dream. It broke Ace's heart knowing how much she missed her mother. His eyes were filled with tears and he couldn't hold them back. He wanted nothing more at this moment than to hug her and hug her, but he resisted all his urges and held himself back so as not to disturb her sleep. The minutes went past like lightning. Ace couldn't look away from his little sister's sleeping face. Michael came into the room, and his eyes saw Ace on the bed. After a while of watching, the two of them finally looked at each other. Michael silently walked over to Ace and stood beside him with his hands in his pockets. "Earlier Lisa called Mom, it seems like Lisa dreamed of meeting Mom." Ace finally spoke after a long silence. Michael nodded with a sad smile on his face. He, like Ace, had tears building up in his eyes. "I missed Mom so much too." The boys stayed a little longer to watch Lisa, ensuring she was still breathing, then they left the room. Michael went to his room but Ace stayed outside of Lisa's room. The younger man leaned against the door frame. He closed the door and leaned his back against it. He stood there as if in a trance with his eyes closed. The silence was broken by sudden footsteps coming from the hallway. Christian immediately embraced his eldest son with a warm hug. Ace instantly tensed up in his dad's embrace. He hugged his dad tightly, wanting to feel the warmth of a parent's love. His dad noticed that his son was hiding his tears so he took his face gently and caressed his cheeks, saying in a soft voice: "Everything is fine, son, just let the tears out. You don't have to hold them back in your eyes. I know how many times you have had to swallow your feelings and be strong for the family. But when your family is not around, let your tears flow freely." The two of them stood like this for a long time, Ace silently crying softly in the warm embrace of his dad. Christian was caressing his eldest son, trying to comfort him with the love of a dad. The silence was gradually broken by their other son Michael, and they separated quickly. Michael wanted to join in the hug, but seeing Ace's eyes filled with tears, he understood his situation and decided to stay on the side.
