The door opened a moment later, revealing my younger sister standing in the doorway with her arms folded across her chest and an expression that immediately suggested she had come looking for trouble rather than conversation.
Elysia stepped inside without waiting for permission.
"You skipped breakfast again."
I sighed.
"You came all the way here to complain about that?"
"I came because someone has to make sure you remember you're a person and not just an Alpha."
A reluctant smile tugged at the corner of my mouth despite myself.
