Nymera’s POV The moon goddess’ silver eyes darkened. "He abandoned the responsibility given to him." I lowered my gaze. A strange mixture of relief and sadness settled inside me For so long, I had thought that maybe I truly deserved everything that happened. But hearing those thoughts challenged by the Moon Goddess herself made something shift deep inside me. Still, the ache remained. "I miss him." The confession escaped before I could stop it. The Moon Goddess sighed softly. "I know you do." For several moments, neither of us spoke. The field remained silent except for the distant whisper of wind moving through flowers. Then her expression became serious. "Listen carefully, Nymera. If you continue walking the path you are currently on, you will die. Your grief is destroying you.
