Nymera’s POV  The moment Dain’s name echoed through the hall, I instinctively stepped back, partly because the voice carried enough authority to make even the lingering conversations around us die down, and partly because the strange warmth that had settled between Dain and me during the past few minutes still felt unfamiliar enough to leave me uneasy whenever I became too aware of it.
