The Ghost Friends

Every year the government sends invitation cards to a few people. No one knows why are they giving invitation cards when they can just do it online, many also wondered what's it for but they mostly assumed it's an invitation to the government's place. Every year many people goes missing and some died but that's what usually happens globally right? The people thinks that there are just people who are cruel enough to kill someone and there are also some who thinks that it might be the government trying to cover the truth about the world by killing people, well who knows? There are 4 people who were roommates that became housemates, they were already friends due to their school and coincidentally they have the same birthday, March 1, 2006. Which is today but they almost forgot what day it is since they are busy with school and they really just want to sleep for the whole day. Before the next day, they talked about that if they should just sleep all day or go somewhere. The four of them gave it a thought and decided to go to an amusement park, it has been a while since the last they went out to hang out. They want their birthday to be simple even though one of them suggested to invite other friends over. They are considered very lucky because at that same day, it's an holiday which only means one thing.... NO SCHOOL. The 4 though was gifted a house by their parents last year. It was just near the school because where their parents live are far from school and their parents decided that it would be difficult for them to go back and forth from the house to school. That's how they became housemates. One of them is named Dahlia. You could say that she's known as the talkative one, she's the one who makes the room atmosphere alive. She never ran out of topics and she's a very dramatic person. She mentioned that life would be boring if no one's dramatic and exaggerating everything. Anyway, Dahlia woke up and went straight to the others' rooms to wake everyone up. She then yelled. "Everyone wake up, you know what day is today!!" Out of nowhere, Dahlia heard a manly voice coming from a few meters away. LUCAS: Sorry to disappoint you but we are already awake, we're downstairs so if you want to eat breakfast you should go down now or else you're going to the amusement park, hungry. You're the only one who we're waiting for, so hurry up. You really should stop sleeping late. Lucas teased her by sticking out his tongue and laughed at Dahlia's face for being shocked and disappointed for sleeping late but felt betrayed because no one woke her up. Alice who just came from the bathroom said "Please, it's early in the morning. We wouldn't want you to argue again." while yawning. DAHLIA: WHAT THE HELL? why didn't you guys wake me up!!! Dahlia stomped on her way to the room to get dressed up. "We tried Dahlia, We tried. It was soooo hard." Said Helcurt while trying to hold his laugh. LUCAS: Ew, don't tell me you aren't gonna take a shower. Actually, real question is.... when do u even shower? DAHLIA: I AM GONNA. Lucas, you're the one who hadn't showered for weeks. Ugh whatevs I'll go get ready, wait for me you idiots. While everyone got busy doing their thing and preparing, the doorbell suddenly rang loudly. Dahlia sprinted right straight to the door but Lucas suddenly pushed Dahlia and ran to get the door instead. DAHLIA: I'll go get that Lucas yelled "NO ME!" while pushing Dahlia out of his way to get the door. DAHLIA: SERIOUSLY?! LUCAS: pfft, hello what do you- He opened the door but when he was about to finish what he was saying, a small envelope fell down onto his face. DAHLIA: who is tha- LUCAS: A letter? Wait, it's an invitation card. Alice suddenly rushed to go downstairs and yelled "DID. YOU. JUST SAY. AN INVITATION CARD?!" HELCURT: Must have been windy huh. LUCAS: Didn't you hear me Alice? bro chill. Anyway, Dahlia open it. I'm too lazy to read. *laughs* HELCURT: Nah I will, you guys might fight again while opening it. We wouldn't want a ripped invitation card. HAHA. Everyone quietly listened while Helcurt reads the letter loudly. HELCURT: "Greetings Helcurt, Alice, Dahlia and Lucas. This is from the local government, I'm happy to announce that you have been invited to Mountain Zoldyck. There will be a car outside of your house and the driver will be escorting you on the way here. No need to pack for clothes or any bag at all, we can provide that to four of you. Just go inside the car, we are expecting you here." Written by.... hmmm it's just question marks here. ALICE: Woah that invitation is very unexpected. I thought we're gonna get invited to a party but guess what we got invited to something a bit disappointing. ALSO HOLD ON... THE GOVERNMENT??? IN MOUNTAIN ZOLDYCK?!! well that's new. Suddenly, Lucas yelled and pointed outside confirming that there is a car outside their house. It lowkey spooked them off and it was very unexpected. They expected the car will come sooner or later and not literally now. Dahlia walked nervously and panicking while saying... DAHLIA: WHAT!! WAIT WE REALLY SHOULD PACK. WE'RE GOING TO MOUNTAIN ZOLDYCK WHICH IS VERY FAR FROM HERE AND... AND I AM NOT VERY COMFORTABLE WEARING CLOTHES THAT AREN'T EVEN MINE, WHAT IF IT'S UGLY AND- HELCURT & LUCAS: Calm down, Will you? DAHLIA: How am I supposed to calm down at this situation?! It's the government, we have to be perfect and we should entertain them. I don't want them thinking that we just went there for free stuff. Also, I don't know maybe the government will consider me as someone who is a star since birth. LUCAS: Let's just follow what the letter said, it's the government after all. I think that'll be better but if you really want to pack some clothes then do it, you should pack fast though because I don't think that the driver will wait for us that long. DAHLIA: Okay.... fine. While Dahlia was panicking, the front door opened and there stood Alice. ALICE: Everyone let's go now. I talked to the driver and since we don't really need to bring anything, I told him that we'll bring snacks with us instead. I don't wanna be hungry in a middle of nowhere. DAHLIA: Thank gosh, we have snacks. Everyone went inside the car silently. The driver was wearing a red uniform with a bowtie and a simple hat. The driver stared at them for a few minutes which creeped everyone because of his horrendous eyes that are completely black or maybe the white part is just not visible because of the lighting of the car. Soon, the driver started the car and by then everyone relaxed on their seats. Midway on their journey Alice looked outside from the window to see the way, may have perhaps... been wrong. Alice was a bit confused so she nervously asked the driver if he knows where he was going, he gave Alice a blank stare on the mirror and all of a sudden he drove faster as if he was in a racing competition. HELCURT: Woah slow down please we might crash at this speed. DAHLIA whispered: Ugh I hate this, I feel like I'm about to barf. Dahlia lay down on the car seat and asked if anyone have a plastic bag in case that she actually barf. Alice gave her one and tries to comfort her. The driver suddenly spoke and said with a husky voice "I can see you children that you did nothing wrong but apparently in their eyes you would be a good 'doll' to experiment on." The road were bumpy and to think that they were speeding, it made the car shake. ALICE: I'm sorry what?? What are you talking about???? After saying those words the driver went faster than ever. This made everyone panic and hold onto the car. Dahlia was screaming hysterically and Lucas almost hit his head on the window. LUCAS: HEY!!! didn't we say to slow down!!!!!! Helcurt was trying to open the window and everyone else was asking for the driver to stop but the driver just went faster. He looked at them in pity and sighed before speaking. DRIVER: Sorry, children but I'm just doing my job. We're close to Mountain Zoldyck now. You know, this job makes me feel uneasy and guilty for killing people and making it look like an accident... They did mention if I can't keep on doing this job then I will just join you to the other world but I have a family to take care of... Everyone screamed on the top of their lungs while holding onto their seats, they didn't know what to do at that moment. The car was speeding too much and the driver "didn't look" to where they were going and crashed on a tree and the car rolled down the mountain. Everyone then blacked out after what happened.
