Part 1 of from one night stand to forever
Chapter 1: The Night Everything Broke The city never slept. Lights shimmered across Lagos like scattered diamonds, cars moved through the night in endless streams, and inside one of the tallest buildings in the city, Damien Cole stood staring out of his penthouse window as if he could escape all of it just by looking hard enough. But peace never came. Behind him, the sound of heels clicking against marble floors echoed sharply. “You didn’t even look at me the entire evening,” Sophia Hart said, dropping her handbag on the sofa. Damien didn’t turn. “I was busy,” he replied flatly. Sophia let out a dry laugh. “Busy? Or avoiding me again?” That made him turn. His eyes were cold, tired, unreadable. “If I’m avoiding you, Sophia, maybe ask yourself why.” Her expression changed instantly. “You always do this,” she snapped. “You turn everything into my fault.” Damien exhaled slowly, rubbing his temple. “This is not working anymore.” The words hung in the air. Sophia froze for a moment, then laughed like she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Not working? After everything I’ve given up for you?” Damien stepped closer. “What have you given up, exactly?” Her jaw tightened. “My time. My youth. My chances. I stayed with you while you built your empire.” Damien’s voice dropped lower. “You stayed because you wanted what comes with it.” Silence. That silence said more than either of them wanted to admit. Sophia picked up her purse again, her hands trembling slightly—not from fear, but anger. “You think you’re better than everyone because you have money.” “I don’t think that,” Damien said quietly. “But I know what I’m seeing now.” Sophia stared at him for a long moment. Then she nodded slowly. “Fine.” Just that. One word. But it carried finality. “I’m done too.” She walked past him toward the door. Damien didn’t stop her. Didn’t ask her to stay. Didn’t say her name again. The door closed behind her with a soft click that felt louder than any argument they had ever had. And just like that, three years ended. Damien stood still for a long time. The silence of the penthouse pressed against him. Too large. Too empty. Too expensive. But completely lifeless. He walked slowly to the bar and poured himself a drink. Then another. And another. He wasn’t trying to forget. He was trying not to feel. But feeling came anyway. Memories surfaced without permission. Sophia smiling in the beginning. Sophia holding his arm at events. Sophia asking for gifts that slowly became demands. Sophia changing. Or maybe she had always been like this. Maybe he had just refused to see it. His phone buzzed repeatedly. He ignored it. Until he didn’t. A message preview appeared. “I hope you’re happy destroying what we had.” Damien stared at it for a long moment. Then turned off his phone completely. He grabbed his car keys. And left. Velvet Lounge was nothing like his world. It was loud, dim, and full of people trying to escape their own lives. Damien didn’t belong there. But tonight, he didn’t want to belong anywhere. He sat at the far end of the bar, suit still perfect, expression already breaking. “What will it be?” the bartender asked. “Whatever is strongest,” Damien replied. The bartender hesitated. “You sure, sir?” Damien gave a look that ended the conversation. The first drink burned. The second softened the edges. The third blurred them completely. Time stopped meaning anything. The only thing that stayed sharp was the emptiness in his chest. Meanwhile, outside the city’s glow, Lily Morgan was running out of options. Her mother’s hospital bills were overdue again. The calls had stopped being polite. They were now warnings. Final notices. Lily walked quickly through the rain, holding a small bag tightly against her side. She had just finished a short catering job at a private event nearby. The pay was small. Not enough. Never enough. She stopped under a broken streetlight, checking her phone. Battery low. No money. No help. Just silence. “Please… just a little more time,” she whispered to herself. But time never listened. She started walking again. That was when she saw the building. Velvet Lounge. Bright. Expensive. Untouchable. She had no reason to go inside. Except she had been called last minute to deliver leftover catering orders from another job. Just a quick drop. Nothing more. She should have left immediately after. But fate had already decided otherwise. Inside, Damien barely noticed the world anymore. Everything was noise. Faces blurred. Music echoed like it came from underwater. He stood up unsteadily. Too much alcohol. Too much silence in his head becoming too loud. He walked toward the exit. That was when he saw her. Not clearly at first. Just movement. A young woman near the service area, holding a tray awkwardly as someone raised their voice at her. “I said you broke it!” “I didn’t! It slipped—please, I can pay for it,” Lily said quickly. The manager scoffed. “Pay? Do you know how much this costs?” People were watching now. Lily’s face burned with embarrassment. “I’m really sorry…” Damien stopped. Something about her voice cut through the haze in his mind. Not loud. Not dramatic. Just real. He walked closer without thinking. The manager continued. “You people always come here acting like you belong—” “That’s enough.” Damien’s voice was calm. But it silenced the entire area instantly. Everyone turned. The manager froze when he saw him. “Sir—Mr. Cole—” “I said,” Damien repeated slowly, “that’s enough.” His eyes shifted to Lily. She looked terrified. Not entitled. Not calculating. Just overwhelmed. The clothes she wear was showing her laps. Damien stared at her breasts and her yansh, which is able to make all man fall for her. “Put it on my bill,” Damien said. The manager hesitated. “Sir, it’s quite expensive—” “I don’t remember asking for a price check.” Silence followed. No one argued after that. Lily looked at him, stunned. “I… thank you,” she said softly. Damien asked her,so you care for a drinks Lily didn't want to accept it But Damien persuade her, Damien was really drunk. Lily also is drunk. She slipped the drink on her body. Damien asked for a hotel they could stay to change her clothes. As he was doing it lily removed all her cloth. And went close to Damien and gave him a kiss 💋. But he stared away because he didn't want to take advantage of her. And he didn’t like being unsettled. So he decided to go to another room. Lily quickly drag him back. Damien couldn't resist it. He was very full and horny. He take out the two breasts of lily, and sucked them. Why lily also bend down and take the two digger of Damien crawling under the trousers of him. And directly put it into his mouth, and romantic sucks it . After that both of them were fully charged and couldn't wait any longer. The match began on the bed. The night was so fun. Early in the morning lily as left. Damien couldn't see her nor talk to her. But he kept remembering her. But he later think. It is a coincidence. How can I date a one night stand girl. It is a twisted love. But he never stop thinking of her. To be continued.
