When Ava asked about my secretary, I could feel the shift in the atmosphere. She was blunt, straightforward, and didn’t beat around the bush. It was almost disarming.
"Mr. Carpenter, I heard that you have a female secretary and you have a close relationship with her?"
I blinked, surprised by the question, but my expression remained neutral. "I have five secretaries—three men and two women. Which one are you talking about?"
