I happily ran to my hut , took my shower and waited for Theo who later arrived after five hours but was actually 5 minutes.
"Hey , you took a lot of time , where you eating the whole food in the pot" I said smiliing ☺️ at Theo while I took the food warmer from his hands . I hurriedly sat on my bed 🛏️ , opened the food warmer and began to dig in.
" Slow down , hungry lion 🦁 before you chock"he said while I stared at him while chewing the food particulars in my mouth .
"Do you have anything to do after eating"he asked .
"Well ,no I am free today"I replied and continued digging in my food.
"Well would you like to go on an adventure around this house, you know you haven't seen the four walls of this mansion" he said. I just remain still,staring at him while I chewed the food particle in my mouth.
"Ok, I will love to " I suddenly replied .
"But first ,you have to change this dress 👘 you are putting on" he said with a dramatic look on his face.
"But I don't have any clothes ,I only came with this " I said pointing at my cloth.
"I have a few clothes you can wear" I stared at him, while chewing my last piece of food.
"You are a boy and I am a girl" I said .
"Who says girls can't wear boys clothes" he asked .
" Ok tell me, which girl do you know that wears boys clothes" I asked covering the food warmer.
"Well my sister sometimes wears my clothes , and besides with is that the big deal" he said.
"Ok,I will wear your cloth, but first why don't you like eating with your parent" I asked .
"It nothing, just that they are boring to eat with , they are always quiet while eating, the only thing they say is , 'Theo hand me that catch-up' he said mimicking his parents voice which was really funny .
"Ok, let's go to my room , I have few clothes to show you" Theo said dragging my hand,
"Wait Theo , what of your parents" I asked
"They've gone to work and they won't be back till evening" he said.
"Now let's go " he grabbed my hand while I took the food warmer with my other hand and ran to his room.
"Ok , you can have all this ,I haven't worn them, they were given to me by my uncle" he said handling me a bundle of clothes .
" Why haven't you worn them, they are beautiful " I asked .
"Yes they are, but I have enough , enough of the questioning , why don't you try the clothes" I put on a shirt on a pair of trousers .
" How do I look" I asked
" Like a boy " he replied.
"U jerk" I said throwing him the pillow , while he caught it laughing.
"Ok, let me show you around"he said, packing all the clothes in a packaging bag and handed it to me .
" Let's go" he said.
He took me around the house 🏠 which was fascinating , we had fun playing around. But what I enjoy the most was when he took me to their farm at the back of my hut, where he showed me the vegetable plantation, fruit plantation,and tuder plantation. He also told me the food they make. Like patato salad, etc.
"Ouch, Theo screamed.
"What is it " I asked turning back towards him.
"I just hit my leg on a stone, it's bleeding ,can you help me call Mrs Janet"he said.
"O my God" I ran into the vegetable plantation and cut off some leaves, rolling it on my plam as I immediately place it on Theo's injured leg.
"Hey, stop what you are doing ,that is disgusting" he said.
" Relax, this is what we use to subside injuries in Africa"I replied.
Ok, but I prefer first aid to this " pointing at the leaves on my plams.
"Just trust me" I said placing the leaves on his leg.
" Now ,I won't be able to go to school 🏫 tomorrow" Theo said while I stared at him.
"You go to school?" I asked
"Yeah " he replied.
" I also want to go to school 🏫 am sure your parents won't allow that" I said with a sad look.
" Don't worry 🙂, I will speak to my parents about it" he said.
"No ,no ,no trust me they won't agree to your request" I said.
"I have a plan and please do not speak to your parents about this, or else I won't be your friend ever again" I said.
" Ok, I promise" he said , as we went to our various houses. I immediately went to Mrs Janet room to ask for a request.
"Baby what you just requested for is not easy, I will grant ur request , but I can only afford public school not the school Theo and Veronica attend" she said. Immediately I pull her for a hug.
"Mummy , thank you ,I don't mind I just want to go to school"I said.
"Wait a minute , you smell like Theo are this not Theo's clothes" she said pointing at my clothes.
"Yes mum ,Theo gave them to me, I have to get going see you tomorrow" I said waving her good night and she reciprocated.
The next day, after the family had gone to their various places, Mrs Janet took me to my new school, where I resumed. I always wait for the family to depart to their various places before I will go to school, I continue like this till I was done with my senior high school. Although, as I grow in age, my duties increase. But it was easier for me with the help of Theo and Mrs Janet. I now do entirely all the chorus in the house except from cooking. The chorus I hate the most is cleaning Veronica's room because I always end up kissing her foot, massaging her legs, she always let out a soft morn anytime I do that which is disgusting, she also made me touch her vigina which was disgusting. Life in that house is hell, her parents also maltreat me at every slightest provocation.
Seated outside my hut , exusted as a result of my chours while enjoying the cool breeze of nature as I spotted Theo walking towards me. He is growing handsome by the day , I never new Americans men could be this handsome, and I have began to develop feeling for him.
"Hey, Dorathy, how are you" he asked
"Am fine, just tired" I replied
"I have something to say "will a sad look on his face.
" What is it" I immediately stood up holding his hands.
"Well, I would be leaving for France to continue my education,and I would be leaving in two days time" he said.
Immediately he said this, my heat skipped a bit, I begin to imagine how my life would be without him in this house. And I know he is going to spend more years considering the fact he would be studying medicine , I immediately walked into my hut, with tears trickled down my face.
Two days went by quickly, as I watched Theo left the house to France, I cried myself to sleep , life in this house would be toxic without Theo . Although Mrs Janet has been helping in the way she can ,she taught my how to cook and do other things. After few days, Mrs Janet resigned, I was left alone in the house
Veronica on the other hand always come to visit me, but I pretend to be asleep anytime she comes,I know she is a lesbian and I don't want to be called one. Years passed as I turned 22 years
