Chapter 1: the Beginning
It's the year 1105. I spend day and night on my parents wheat farm with my 2 little brothers. Most of the time were working hard, picking wheat and taking it to the windmill to make flour then taking the flour to the wagon so my Dad can take downtown and sell to the local bakerys and trade the locals for random things. one time he came back with a dragon pendant on a beaded necklace for me. That's when he told me the old legends of the mysterious dragons in the land. He said they were huge and breathed fire. That they Roamed the skys looking for small towns to prey on. He said these Dragons speak many languages and are the holders of many secrets. Legend has it that if you kill a dragon you will gain all the information and secrets the dragon contains. that you yourself could breathe fire like the dragon and speak all the languages of the world. after hearing that story I continued to work that day and everything was normal up until I went to bed that night. I had a weird dream. I dreamt of a dragon it had flown to me on my farm. and it hovered there just staring me in my eyes when all of a sudden he blew fire. and when the fire hit it didn't hurt but instead gave me a rush of never seen before color's with what looked like ancient writings and words within the colors from the firey breathe of the great dragon staring me in my eyes. then boom. I wake up.
I look out the window in a panick. it's seems peaceful out side with bright pinkish skys from the sun rising. i see birds chirping and flying around the trees surrounding the weat field. I also see the wheat im field waving back and forth from the wind hitting it. it's seems all in all like a nice morning this morning. soon I can smell eggs and baken Mom must be up cooking this morning I think to myself. so I walk in the living room to see everyone all ready up and eating having a good one time before a long day of hard work. I grab me a plate tell everyone good morning. Dad's being to give my little brothers there daily choirs before giving me mine. He tells them all the normal stuff they have to do then continues to explain that he's getting a little old to keep riding the wagon in and out if town that he'd like me to start doing it. so today I would be riding out with him to learn the ropes. fast forward about a hour and we got the wagon full of flour, The horses ready, and hooked up to the wagon. It's time to ride into town. It's only about a 2 to 3 hour ride but Dad warns me of the many horrors to be wary of on my ride back and forth such as wild animals, giants, dragons, and even other people that might be trying to take flour for themselves. This ride in particular I didn't see anything crazy buy i saw some giant footprints about half way to town but we kept going like everything was normal.
