King Arnoldo immediately bristled, preparing to attack Samael. Samael immediately pulled the timid little female vampire behind him, preparing to defend his mate from others. I teleported between them, and growled at Samael, “Samael, calm yourself immediately. Arnoldo is just protecting his people, as any king should. Though I suspect there is more to do this than meets the eye.” I turned to look at Arnoldo and smiled softly, “Please forgive my advisor. He, like many demons, has waited a long time to find his mate. Demon mate bonds are exceptionally powerful, even my mates struggled to stay away after they found me when I was only ten.”
Samael straightened and bowed before us, “Forgive me, your majesties. I was not expecting the pull to be so strong.”
