I cleared my throat, trying to remove the knot that had crept into my throat. I was nervous, rightly so. I looked out at everyone. It was the first time I had noticed that all eyes were on me, patiently waiting. I was glad they were showing me sympathetic expressions. It helped me clear the knot in my throat. I had also noticed the two huge binders that were in front of Alastair. My mates were with me a lot, so my father must have had Alastair build up those binders.
