Scarlett’s POV-
My father led me to the feast hall, with Damien and Birsha following closely behind. We were going to have dinner and to introduce myself to the council. I was doing well at hiding how nervous I felt from my father, but not Damien and Birsha. Damien leaned in close to me just before we reached the feast hall, and whispered, “Try to stay calm, Birsha and I are right here with you. Just remember to show them the strong and independent woman that we love.”
I smiled, and nodded, his words were enough to calm my nervousness down. The guards opened the door to the feasting hall, allowing us in.
