I lifted the hem of my dress, and ran to the door, upon hearing it being knocked. Though I really did not want to, I loved seeing Damien and Birsha in the Demon General uniforms. They said they were the ceremonial once, but I didn’t care, they were in uniform. It made them look even more dashing. I found it hard to control my thoughts after that. I cleared my throat and slowly opened the door. A man, I thought looked familiar, bowed to me.
“Who are you,” I asked.
“Forgive the intrusion, Princess. But I wanted to meet you. I was told General Damien and General Birsha would be here guarding you, but it seems they have been derelict in their duties, something I will report. I wanted to make sure you were safe,” the man replied.
