But in this cruel game played by fate, I am in a state where I cannot even embrace death, though I long for it! While my heart beats for the one I love... a mangalsutra tied by a psycho around my neck feels like the shackles of a slave! One is a pure love that would give a life... the other is a bloody vendetta played for power! Is the victory for the one with power? Or for the war waged by a girl who has been wronged? Behind my silence hides a volcano... behind my tears, a fire of revenge is smoldering! Just because there is a tali around my neck, don’t hallucinate that my heart belongs to you, Vihan! This moonlight will no longer give light... it will burn you like fire! They say life changes in a second... but I never imagined even in my dreams that my world would turn upside down like this. I didn't know then that what was pouring from the sky wasn't rain, but the tears of death falling upon me. That Horrific Night It was a terrifying night. An icy rain was pouring as if the sky had been pierced. The gusty winds sent shivers down the spine, sounding like the screams of ghosts near the ears. The roads were filled with water, looking like a graveyard. 22-year-old Jagruthi was returning home from college. As the rain intensified, she quickened her pace. "Dad... Mom... Akruthi... they are all coming in the auto, right? Why isn't Dad picking up the phone?" she muttered to herself. An unknown fear gripped her heart. Even though there were three ways to get home, she was in a dilemma, not knowing which path would lead toward death due to the storm. Just then, a large truck sped past like a demon, splashing muddy water. The mud covered her face and clothes, but she didn't care about the dirt—the safety of her family was all that mattered! The Accident - The Scream of Death She stood under a tree to try the phone again. Right then... a terrifying sound of crashing metal! The ear-piercing sound of two heavy vehicles colliding made it feel like her soul had vanished into thin air. 533... that number flashed before her eyes like a spark and disappeared. It wasn't just a sound; it was the scream of death that sacrificed her entire world! The sight she saw there drained the life out of her. Warm blood mixed with the rainwater, flowing like a red river on that black road. As that stream of blood touched her feet, her body shuddered violently. Her heart nearly stopped. That blood belonged to her people... her very life! Jagruthi ran toward the auto like a madwoman. Her steps faltered, and she ignored the falls in the mud as she rushed to the vehicle. It was her father's auto! Her eyes blurred at the sight. Her father's head was slumped over the steering wheel. Blood flowed steadily from the wound, dissolving into the rain. Mom... there was no movement at all. Her sister Akruthi, whom she loved more than her life, had her head hit against the window and was unconscious in a pool of blood. Her white dress had now turned completely red. "Dad!!" Jagruthi screamed. Even though the scream pierced the sky, it was swallowed by the sound of the rain. "Someone come... please... help me!" she cried. But on that deserted road, there was no one to hear her dying plea. With trembling hands, she pushed aside the glass shards and pulled her father out. Even as the glass cut her hands, she felt no pain. "Dad... open your eyes, Dad!" she wailed. But only silence answered. Akruthi opened her eyes slightly... "Sister... I'm scared..." she moaned like a dying bird and closed her eyes again. Mom had already left for the eternal world. Final Hope - Another Disaster Darkness... blood... rain... in this hell, her only hope was her lover, Arun! With trembling fingers, she took out the blood-stained phone and tried to dial Arun's number. "Arun... only you can save me..." she prayed in her heart as she moved to press the dial button. At that exact moment... the blinding lights of a car approached at high speed and hit her with immense force! Jagruthi’s body was thrown into the air, hitting a nearby tree hard before falling. It was impossible to tell if it was rainwater or blood on her face... everything merged. Gradually, total darkness! Vihan's Entry - The Terrifying Truth Some time later... white walls... the pungent smell of medicine... the 'beep' sounds of a monitor. Slowly opening her eyes, Jagruthi realized she was in a hospital. Then, the doors of the room opened heavily. A tall figure... a black shirt... a sinister smile on his face. It was him... Vihan! The dangerous person who used to haunt her like a demon after college! "You struggled hard to survive, my Rakshasi (demoness)..." Vihan said, sitting beside her bed. "You... what are you doing here? Where is my family?" Jagruthi asked weakly. Vihan leaned toward her and laughed cruelly. "I am the one who brought you to the hospital, Jagruthi. You are the last person alive on that road! Your mother is dead... your father and your sister are with me. I don't need your father, but I am madly in love with you... (something is in his mind) that's why I brought you here!" At that moment, Jagruthi realized—her life was now a prisoner in the hands of a monster! Jagruthi trembled seeing Vihan. He placed his hands on the iron rod of the bed, leaned toward her face, and laughed loudly, piercing the silence of the room. "Hey... my Goddess has opened her eyes! Look... the fire in those eyes hasn't dimmed. My Rakshasi... she shows stubbornness even in dying!" he said sarcastically. As he spoke, the cruelty in his voice terrified her. Jagruthi asked in a trembling voice, "Where is... my family?" Vihan turned serious instantly. He grabbed her hair, pulled it back, and stared intensely into her eyes. "Family? I still remember your mother's corpse lying in a pool of blood on that road, Jagruthi. But your father... I don't know... your sister is with me. Do you know why I saved those who were ready to die? Only for you! You rejected my love, right? Now, your every breath is in my hands! I brought you to this hospital... I saved your life! Because you must either die by my hand... or live under my feet!" he roared. "You are my slave." Hearing his words, Jagruthi understood... she hadn't just escaped an accident; she was trapped in a hellish, psycho cage. The sarcastic smile on Vihan's face poured fire into her heart. The Mystery Message After Vihan left, silence reigned in the room again. When he called her 'My Rakshasi', the sarcasm felt like a spear entering her heart. Her family was shattered before her eyes, and now she was a prisoner of this psycho Vihan. Where was Arun? Who was driving the car that hit her when she was about to call him? Was it Vihan... or someone else? There were no tears in Jagruthi's eyes now... only a burning fire. If she wanted to save her people, she had to fight; she had to escape this hell. Just then... the phone screen beside her lit up. A message arrived from an Unknown Number. Seeing that message, Jagruthi's heart nearly stopped. The message read: "Jagruthi... what you are seeing in the hospital is not the truth! The one behind that accident is not the person you imagine. Recognize the enemy right next to you... You have only 24 hours!" Jagruthi’s skin crawled. If not Vihan, then who? Who is the mysterious person behind the accident? Is her family really safe? Who is this stranger? The rain stopped outside the window, but the bloody storm in Jagruthi's life showed no signs of stopping. How will Jagruthi escape the trap set by Vihan? Who is the stranger who sent the message? Where is Arun in this war? Is Vihan really the mastermind, or is there someone else? Are her father and sister really safe? What is the significance of those 24 hours? Wait for the next update to find out the truth!
