I got into my truck as soon as I got out of the mansion. It took a while to maneuver out to the road because there were other cars parked. I was determined, though. I had to find Kara and explain everything to her.
I followed the road to her house, but I didn’t see her car anywhere. Thankfully, it’s a small town, so there’s not a lot of roads she could be on. I finally found her white sedan parked on the side of the road. I parked my truck behind her and walked towards the car. I found her sobbing while her head was leaning on top of her hands on the steering wheel.
I felt sad that I caused the love of my life this much pain. I could only imagine what was going on through her head right now. I sat down next to the closed door and kept my eyes on her. Eventually, she saw
